Game freezing, background music looping, game freezing when trying to save. Seem to happen after upgrading a weapon, or rather after opening the weapon upgrade menu, because going back to the game without upgrading a weapon. Sometimes moving through into a new section requiring a brief load.

Does the game takes more than normal to load in the xmb ?

Try cleaning your blu-ray drive lens.


No, the problem is with the Hard disk, I know GOWIII doesnt install at all, but if you change your HDD you wont be getting any problem.

Nah, and there's no problems with other games either, so pretty sure it's not a hardware problem...better not be I'm out of warranty.

Well if this fixed it for your brother he should try it then.

At the begining lens problem affect only dual layer blu-ray games, my friend had problems running MGS4& GOW3

it toke long loading times even when showing in the xmb. Cleaning the lens fixed that for him.

The problem is with the disc I think, I rent a lot so experience disc issues, ask for a new one and it should fix the problems.



PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

I put a good amount of time into it, played through it nearly twice, never had any problems.

Fantastic game by the way!

Loading when it moves to a new area ? God of War III doesn't have any loading times excepts when loading your saved game.

Weird problem.... changing your HDD seems to be a fix as Heavenly King already said. But it will format your old hard drive incase your decide to switch again. You should get it backed up.

I'm probably gonna start playing it in the next hour or so.  I don't want any spoilers so I didn't read anything beyond the OP.  Hopefully I don't encounter any game killing glitches.  Maybe it's been patched and your bro plays offline?  At least I hope that's the case.

Well i played the game through on all Difficulties and didn't experience any bugs.
Could be your PS3.......somehow.
