"So given the choice to kill Final-Fan, hatmoza, zexen, Hephaestos, theprof00 or nordlead, the Mafia chose Heph. It's possible that there is a reason why he was the unlucky winner of this death lottery other than his record in previous games."

(1) In fact, I don't suspect any of those people. Strange that my suspect would mirror my own opinions.

trucks confirms my list?

another interesting one. In this one, he draws suspicion on people that I have a hard time believing are mafia.

Truck's timing

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3826484

(2) In the first post, I was still suspicious of scottie. Here Scottie posted, and although Truck's had barely said anything, immediately popped up. It looked like a message mafia-to-mafia.

(3) The second post popped up immediately after Radish made a foolish decision to ask what people the cop should investigate. This completely reminded me of when Homer cleared me a couple games ago by saying, "you're not listening to me! I DO NOT SUSPECT THEPROF AT ALL". Hatmoza and dtewi were the only people that commented on it, while most of town knew not to even whisper it again. Eerily enough, the other person to comment on radishes post was stefl. Keep in mind that both of these players had not posted for a while and then were the first two to comment. Very suspect.

70% mafia

3) Are you saying you think radishhead is the cop and openly asked for advice on who to investigate? That thought never crossed my mind, radish knows better than to do a move like this.

Just to prevent any confusion - I'm not the Cop. Sorry for making that statement; I just thought that the Cop would want a few ideas, in the potential event that he's a new player that doesn't have any ideas of his own. I realised that it wasn't a very helpful thing to say after I posted it, but it looked like most people had ignored it, so I just kept quiet :p

Yup, I am shifty, evasive, and often less than fully honest. These are qualities that make me look really sketchy. These are qualities that have trapped mafia players in the past. Laying out a trap with a big sign that says "TRAP HERE MAFIA PLAYERS PLEASE DO X!!!!" is, well, less than effective. I prefer a more subtle approach which requires more finesse, and less obvious behavior. This also makes for a better game of intrigue all around cause you will doubt my intention right up until my corpse pops up.

Scottie, MG94, Prof, Wonk and Zexen all seem sketchy to me still. Just for those curious.

...OH.  I had thought that the fact that you always seemed suspicious to people was something in your play style beyond your control -- but it seems that it's something you do deliberately.

A few things before I disappear for a bit again and come back. Tired so this is short.

@Prof
Referencing the day one and day two discrepancy makes absolutely no sense to me. What happened is a matter of public record. Further by the time you even had claimed it I disappeared for another couple of days. You also seem to enjoy continuing to twist my words. Going after me is whatever,

but you need actual evidence which you had none of at the time.

Instead were going in circles over imagined insults that never happened despite the fact I repeatedly pointed out they never happened. Glad to see you won't let it go though. Really like how you tried to twist me admitting someone outside of the pissing contest should weigh in as somehow a bad thing.

I'm so sick of this argument, gnizmo.

Wait for your facts to come in then. When the cop is dead, we'll see how much validity you start applying to opinions.

There is no denying that your activity before and after night 1 is completely different. In fact, the only "contributions" that I had assigned to you were your responses to me day 1. If you take those out, you have literally 0 content day 1, and then suddenly a massive effort on day 2. Of course you'll just retort that my content on day 1 is similarly negligible, which in your mind would completely negate the foundation of this accusation.

All you have as counter-evidence is superficial statements:

Look at this weak defense:

"Referencing the day one and day two discrepancy makes absolutely no sense to me. What happened is a matter of public record. Further by the time you even had claimed it I disappeared for another couple of days. You also seem to enjoy continuing to twist my words"

Being public makes the accusation invalid?

No it does not.

And your disappearance has nothing to do with the change. I'm talking about your mafia friends who would've told you to start posting more.

Hello again!

Well, 309 posts in 3 days. I'm actually a little disappointed.

From what I've read, this thread is about 85% waffle. These big, long posts that simply parrot info back or take 8 paragraphs to explain a suspicion of a person. It gets annoying when 75% of the posts are like that.

Oh, and please refrain from calling scottie Scott. >_<

So it's nice to see that we've probably gotten a few scum.

For now, Vote: zex. I feel no need to restate the reasons that have been said.

HoS: prof

It seems as though he's deliberately trying to avoid discussion of the more suspicious people. He latches onto Gnizmo like a dying leech, and then switches to nen based on a "gut-feeling". Then he goes to radishhead for possibly the stupidest reasoning he has ever given: "Your not acting scummy is SO scummy!" I wouldn't expect this from a pro-town prof.

Silver-tiger, along with my Day 1 suspicions of him, is still a suspect.

Gnimo is crazy

Scottie is hazy

And c03 is still as nonchalant as ever.

maybe you didn't read the part where I said Gnizmo had me completely off my game, maybe you don't care to note things like that.

Oh OK. I guess that statement completely clears you from the fact you had been harping on him for a good hundred posts or so, really ignoring mostly everyone else.

This is so weak, dtewi.
Your post is ineffectual, and as no basis. I wouldn't be surprised if you were mafia. It appears you can't even read properly, and you're twisting the exchange to suit whatever motive you have to cause a mislynch.

See how frustrating that is, dtewi? Now go think about why I would continue to harass someone who says the same thing to me. If you are town, that is, you should be on my ass like white on rice.

Of course it can be agitating. The problem is you were just so damn focused on Gnizmo, and not even doing anything else. It was like you had a damn personal vendetta.

It is called grilling someone. It is an effective investigation technique. I can say I've gained valuable insight just by conversing with theprof. I've gained valuable insight reading Gnizmo's responses. I don't care too much how you make someone talk, so long as you make them talk meaningfully. Claiming that someone is too focused on a single person is just as bad as claiming someone is too town to be town.

The problem is that prof had been told Gnizmo acted like that, and Gnizmo wasn't responding. Prof wasn't grilling, he was fuming and trying to goad Gnizmo into talking.

@prof:
My table lines up very closely with yours on most players. Notable differences being:
I'm harsher on myself, Wonk, FF, ST, and zexen for what I consider content. A lot of my numbers match yours with the addition of some "Gray" posts though
I'm harsher on MG, myself, and zexen for what I consider non-content
I'm not as harsh on you, Gniz, or j0 as far as non-content. Again, "Gray" posts could bring them "in line"

Also, thank you for the post on why j0 is suspicious to you. It's most of what I'd have brought up had I decided to vote j0 instead of SAK, but as I was going through the posts yet again last night I was worried I was just crazy/paranoid. You could be scum trying to set j0 up, but at least I can't argue with my own reasoning.

Finally, http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3828713. Are you referring to night two? That makes an assumption that we'll get to the night phase before then. There may be no time limit, but it seems several people are absent already and I'm not sure we're going to reach a majority vote soon. I'm not going to jump at anyone for having a leave at the moment, but I can't rule out Truck was hopeful that the night phase would come and go while gone as a way to prove he's not scum(or a non-vanilla townie).

@Stefl: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3827985
Let me get this straight. You agree that SAK and Truck seem scummy to you also? You don't see a reason to note yourself on the list, but you do defend j0?

@Truck: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3828243
Another scenarios is he's scum and knowing he's suspected heavily, he's actually voted for scum(ST) and defended a townie(nen). If scottie's lynched then it'd throw others on the wrong trail(nen), and if nen or ST are lynched he has the "see I thought so" card. I think your second scenario would fit better, but I'm just saying if scottie is flipped scum then it's not an automatic trail.

@FF:
Your SAK vote reeks of bandwagoning. Do you think the case against SAK is stronger than the one against nen? Do you think there's anything else that hasn't been pointed out against SAK? Are you just tired of day two and want to move things along?

@j0http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3828386
Is this an admission that you aren't scumhunting? It's understandable if you don't have time, but that's certainly not a positive thing.

@nord: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3828445
I'm a bit wary of your thoughts on the SAK "train." It's quite possible that you, prof, and/or FF are scum that have already jumped on SAK. And any other townie would likewise think the same of me in that list.

@Wonk: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3828490
Please do summarize. It'll help with my current reread of the two of you.
Also, why do you point out there are numerous players with 3 votes on them?

@Truck: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3828497
1) If I had a list of who I believed to be pro-town players and suspected you, then I would be suspicious if you listed them as high profile. However, prof jumped to a conclusion that you don't suspect any of the listed players as scum.
2) You did "pop up" right after scottie's post, as the one previous to that was over 11 hours prior. Quite a bit happened in between, so you either you were reading and saw nothing of interest until scottie's post or you came on and responded before reading what you missed. You didn't comment on anything(including SAK's blunder, hmmmmm) that occurred in between the the link I just provided and the scottie reply so I have to side with the former. So prof very well may have a legitimate point here.
3) Isn't really a "pop up" since you were just on for the scottie reply. I can see where prof is going, but I'm not sure I agree as far as you're concerned. I didn't get the feeling radish was soft-claiming cop nor did I get the feeling you were trying to draw attention to it. Once it's said, it's already out there, and whatever your alignment the logic is sound. No need to increase the chance of a wasted investigation by giving scum a kill-list.

@Gniz: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=3828516
So "Potals" are just as good as every single post, which can only be taken as truthful if we assume the player is a townie as well.
I'm not sure how well your traps have worked in the past, but I fail to see how being purposefully sketchy-looking to all of the townies will cause mafia, which know you're alignment regardless of how you play, to be more likely to fall for a trap. If you're a townie you shouldn't want to have other townies doubt your intention until a flip, as the goal is to outsmart(or not be outsmarted by) mafia. Then again it may make for a more interesting game for you and I guess you find that more fun. I don't like it, but I can't fault you if that's the case.

@dtewi:
So what is the best way to interrogate someone like Gniz? Serious question, as I get the feeling that any "grilling" won't get a response and will just turn into "goading," leaving the only option as ignore them completely.

Let's see, anyone else I can respond to? Mod time!
@noname/tR:
the latest votes are missing Final-Fan's vote on SAK as noted immediately afterwards.
