Sega has confirmed that Super Monkey Ball 3DS will be a launch game and that it is the first of many new games the company has planned for Nintendo's new console next year.

In an interview with Game Informer magazine, Sega's Alan Pritchard said: "We have announced Super Monkey Ball for 3DS, which will be a launch title. We have a number of 3DS titles in our line-up for next financial and calendar year. There's four or five existing franchises, one or two from the old Sega IP locker, and we're looking at one or two new IPs as well."

Wow, that's a lot of games. We already know that Sega is planning to make a Sonic game for 3DS but what are the other games that are in the works? What are the two games from the old Sega IP locker? What games should they release?

Personally I hope that they are Skies of Arcadia and Ristar.

Gosh Sega loves to lead with Supermonkey Ball.   It was a launch game on Wii and iphone too.

And the Gamecube, in point of fact...

i haven't played every monkey ball game but...

with little to no story, simple artistic direction, and only one gameplay element i'm guessing it is just a faster title to develop than say an RPG or something.  just a guess though, i don't make video games or anything.

Shenmue 3 please or a new altered beast.And please sega if you are makeing a sonic game for it make it good.

Phantasy Star Online 3DS, Jet Set Radio, Nights and Skies of Arcadia are all titles that could be awsome on the 3DS. PSO needs a reboot and I think it could do well on the 3DS. JSR with touch-screen would be interesting.Soaring through the sky in 3D in Nights/SoA? Oh yes, baby.

anyway, shining force, by camelot not a garbage action game or one of flight plan's games with shining force in the title, I'd like to see a real shining force 4

maybe a new Deep Fear, wouldn't that throw everyone for a loop
