"Degraded sales" when VGC says otherwise and anecdotal evidence are valid points? Seriously? Good job on proving my point: There's no reason to try and reason with you. You're right in the fact that it probably won't sell GT4 numbers, but have you seen how well GT5 held up in the third week?

Exact point I am trying to make.  I didn't say GT5 was a failure (3M sales is 3M sales that is a success despite my feelings for Sony) if you read my post all I meant to prove is that GT5 dissapointed many of my known Sony rivals (even ones that pledge allegiance to SDF) and it shows in it's lower sales compared to GT4.  GT5 is a sales success but also has many dissapointments scoring less than Forza3 in gamerankings etc.  Plus with it's massive cost compared to Forza it's success over that franchise is a bit muted.  Don't get me wrong I like GT5 and it's not overhyped like some other games (GoW3) but after 6 years of development I thought it would blow my Forza3 by a large margin.  It did not; and it is what it is!!!

Okay, I can see where you're coming from, but that doesn't change the fact that "flop" is an extreme word.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

There's no way they'll be using Kinect for controls I'd have thought and they mention a controller themselves in the release.  I'm figuring Kinect will be used for head tracking - which could be very cool - as well as reviewing car collection, more interactive modding of cars, etc.

If kinect is used for head tracking then it will run into the exact same problem that GT5 head tracking has... 512MB of ram limit. I think GT5 has proven that you can only do so much with only 512mb of ram.
The real question how much can Turn 10 add to Froza 4 before it suffers from console ram limit just as Gt5 and F1 2010 did.

Good point.  I was just thinking application vs execution.  To actually do this means balancing Kinect resources against the needs of the title itself without Kinect.  Should be interesting.  I wonder if this is why there are rumours about MS working on better data compression and performance for Kinect?  I thought it was just so they could increase the amount of data throughput to increase tracking resolution but I guess it might also help with hybrid titles that feature chunking non-Kinect code and resource requirements.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
