Isn't this what the Swiss government does? Every male gets issued a firearm and has training with it. I don't know if it's mandatory service in the Military though. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

I believe you're right. A friend of mine knows WAY too much about the Swiss, and this sounds like something he's said once.

It may not have been called "Palestine", but Arabs have been the majority population by being 85 to 90% of the populace for nearly 1000 years before the 1940's. That is enough to call the European Jews invaders.
