Seems like a silly rumor, the idea that the PS3 version wouldn't be localized because they cost more to develop, but the game already exists.  They don't have to develop it they just have to localize it and I find it hard to believe localizing a Wii game costs so much less than a PS3 game.  Perhaps if they were trying to fix up the lip synching but from what I've played of Tales games they don't even make an attempt at that.

And why exactly is the Wii game more likely to do well in the West?  that certainly isn't true in the East and since they haven't released any PS3 tales in the West I have no clue what they might be basing this off of, ToV did better in the West than ToS2 so I don't know why they'd assume that ToG would do better in the West than ToG F assuming they're basing their PS3 sales expectations off of the 360 sales.

They're foolish for basing expectations on the performance of the 360 version of Vesperia

Either way, some sort of localization would be nice, but if what's said there is true, I don't quite get their reasoning. Putting PS3 extras on Wii sounds like it'd take more effort than just releasing the actual PS3 version, no?

Anyway, just theorizing, since I don't see this happening. It is Namco, after all.

There are 2 versions, the Wii and the PS3 version which has the bonus content..niether are localized.

but if NB had to choose one it would definitely be the PS3 version, becuase it would be the cheaper one!

adding all the bonus content to the Wii version localization would cost more than just localizing the PS3 version which already hads the content.

2. The strategy behind releasing the Wii version in the west then PS3 is Wii version sells well is stupid! it makes no sense all the way

I own both a PS3 and Wii if buy the Wii version, why buy the PS3 version version? the use a whooole different fanbase to gauge a release for a different console is ridicoulous

I don't see how the opposite conclusion could make sense.  Adding something to a version and then localizing it has to be more expensive than just plain localizing.  The difference in expense between the HD consoles and Wii development is all in the graphics which doesn't have to change in the slightest for a localization.  HD text can't be that much worse to code than SD.
