Education at any level is a Right, it not only enriches peoples lives and knowledge which benefits all of society but its the major factor in social mobility, it should be used to allow people, no matter there background to be the best they can be, you shouldnt have to take on debt or pay fees to gain education.

as for paying for it, its easy enough, just clamp down on tax dodgers or raise taxes for the super rich or cut trident and wars, or better yet do all of these things!

It's a good thing there aren't police officers roaming the libraries and putting a lock on your internet then.

All giving college education to everybody does is prevent most people from getting into the workforce earlier making it later before they can retire, devalueing education to nonexistant status to where workers need to put in other means for hiring people, either running their own private corporate schools or relying even more on nepotism and in general devaluing the quality of education among the people who are actually going to use it because you need to hire more and more teachers, a lot of which who will suck.

wtf are you talking about, im not suggesting the current system is perfect, far from it, the way we educate people needs to change, it should be about so much more than just producing drones for the market

What's next on Tory policy horizon? Abolishment of state funded university places? Full fee paying university places only?

Hopefully!

People over here (Greece) are starting to get REALLY angry because of the measures taken:

1. VAT 4% up to 23%!!!

2. Public sector wages 20% - 40% down

3. Private sector wages 10% - 20% down

4. 30% of companies are either shutting down or facing serious ecocomic issues

5. Gas 80% up in 6 month period

6. Working contracts redefined : Companies can now sack without compensation

7. Lowest wage from ~700 Euros to 520 Euros

8. Unemployment and Suppression's of the charts

I hope some kind of revolution is in the works; We are getting pummeled to the ground and paying the price while some few are getting ridiculously rich. I don't know what caused the crisis in UK, but in Greece it sure is corruption and a huge public sector (17% of the population!). None of which are being looked into >_>

I sure hope we leave the Euro. And I also hope you never embrace it; the only country who thrives through it seems to be Germany... We must riot against the real culprits here, not on each other (our Goddamn politicians)

LOL, life in greece sucks because the politicians pandered to the public and gave into ridiculous demands for services.

That's the point.

Anyone who wishes can be educated.  So long as they are literate.

If you want someone to teach you, you must pay.

What's so wrong about that?   Unless you plan to use your talents proffessionally you don't need to be taught.

You dont have the faintest clue about the beliefs of the various parties do you?  it is the labour party that promote big government and interventionist policiers.  The Tories have ALWAYS been about less government.  Read some books.

What are you hoping to study at Uni?

thats why i thank the lord labour got voted out,

the rioters should have been outside labour headquarters in london doing damage o_0

I wonder if the people who attacked Prince Charles can be charged with High Treason?

He wasn't physically harmed. But I am wondering why he and Camilla were going through there with their windows open (Mayfair would be a much better route to where they had to go). Camilla's sides window was completely open after the crowd came on to them.
