Sold : 657k
Shipped : 1.25 Million

Europe/PAL/Asia (EMEAA) -
Sold : 1.75 Million
Shipped : 3.72 Million

Japan -
Sold : ~480k
Shipped : 550k

Total -
Sold : ~2.9 Million
Shipped : 5.52 Million

So about 2.6 Million units sitting on store shelves WW?

Thoughts?

We are a week behind in VGChartz defence, so take a bit off that, We havent got Japans finalised numbers either, could still be accurate, but i assume a few of them are on the shelf going by the sales.

GT5 will definitly do well over time.

I made a prediction a while back that GT5 would sell 1 million across all of the smaller territories (Asia, Middle East, Africa, Latin America). I'm feeling quite confident about that now.

At must its undertracked in EMEA by 250-300k. So alot of unsold units on shelves.

That was SHIPPED number people... no crazy here... and the numbers was until December 6.

Anyway AMAZING numbers like everyone expected.

anyway, fantastic sales. but maybe they overshipped to europe... or we're not tracking it right. also feels like NA is overshipped slightly but it could just be a hundred thousand or so units. even so, great job!

NA is not US, who knows if they overshipped, but PD never does this thing, looking at Japan, it seems they ship according to demand.

NA is fine... 600k on shelves feels reasonable.

EMEAA was the problem... or Sony overshiped a lot or VGC undertracked a lot... remember VGC doesn't track Asia, Middle-East e others countries in EMEAA (just main countires from Europe).
