Forums - Sales Discussion - The Official November 2010 NPD Thread

1.4m does look like a fairly historic increase, even rounded from 1.35m or so. With X360 that high its still possible Wii is at 1.2m or something as well by NPD. We'll see soon enough.

Wow, massive undertracking here or what?

BTW Source, if these figures are correct, is the 360 managing the status of "historic", as it will be increasing x4.5 from October.

Higher than wii last which which did 1.3 mill? and then went on to do 3.8 mill NPD ..

Wonder how 360 will match that in Dec.

4M in December is my bet for 360 , USA Loves XBOX

"360 had 50% of this generations total spend"

GODDAMN

360 made as much money this month as Wii, PS3, DS and PSP combined ....

Undertracked by how much?

Huh? What's that mean? I'm guessing the Xbox brand created half of the revenue from the non-handhelds. Wouldn't be that surprising if Kinect sold a ton. Notably undertracked.

Proudest Platinums:
1. Gran Turismo 5
2. Persona 4 Arena
3. Wipeout HD
4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
5. Super Street Fighter 4

When he says generation he clearly means consoles Seece, and excluding PS2. Use your head.

Ok, so now we know that the 360 was VASTLY undertracked in the Americas (NPD is only for US; Americas includes Canada and Mexico) and was the number one console in November (which most should've figured from Greenburg's earlier teases).

Yet and still, I'd be very surprised to see many from the 360 camp chanting "UNDERTRACKED" and continually ripping VGC's numbers if the 360 isn't always on top.  Not saying it won't happened, but I'm just going by trends on the site.

It'd be nice to know firm numbers for the others, but since they are lower we'll have to just see if anyone talks (MS didn't last year on their 3rd place BF numbers).

So do you think Kinect could be seriously under-tracked here then based off that? It looks quite likely imo.

Well obviously he doesn't mean PS2. All I see is "current generation spend" ... doesn't mean DS and PSP arnt included ..

Wow. Amazing 360 numbers. Looks like Kinect has done more than we originally thought.

Can't wait to see how Wii/PS3 did too!
