The series deserves so many more sales for the quality that each title gives but nonetheless i expect U2 sales to reach 5 mil in hype of U3 and yeah i agree with the fact that they couldve let it slip in to 2012 because of the like 10 exclusives Sony has planned throughout 2011.

And the marketing part is sad but true (though Heavy Rain was marketed well).

I don't think Uncharted 3's release will hurt the sales of Uncharted 2. By the time it comes out, Uncharted 2's sales will have already slowed to a crawl. If anything, people who haven't played the second game will want to get it before experiencing the latest adventure, giving it a momentary sales boost. Just like most people did with Drake's Fortune.

Yeah, possibly true, and its better they get UC3 out tbh, so they can start working on their next big game or UC4, instead of taking ages to develop titles like certain other developers.

Congrats to ND and Sony. Uncharted : Drakes Fortune should clear 3.5 Million. Uncharted 2 : Among Theives could clear around 5.0 - 5.5 Million at this rate. And Uncharted 3 : Drake's Deception could make the series grow even more with sales of around 6.0 - 6.5 Million !!!

Who's the best Pac, Nas, and Big. Just leave it to that.

Yeah, for a story driven series like this, marketing for new titles equates to marketing for its predecessors. Just look at the bump Uncharted got when Unchated 2 came out, and it's still selling decently today. I would argue the quality of Uncharted 2 extended the legs of the first considerably, given the number of new fans it brought to the series.
