We love Uncharted, and we’re pretty sure you love Uncharted. However, as Sony lacks the marketing force of most large publishers, many gamers miss out on the company’s amazing exclusive games. With Uncharted, however, critical acclaim, as well as word of mouth, have helped push the series to record heights.

After revealing the next Uncharted, Sony announced that franchise has already sold many millions of copies:

UNCHARTED: Drake’s Fortune and UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves. We’re especially honored and humbled that both titles have been so successful, selling nearly 8 million units combined and earning more industry awards and accolades than we can keep track of.

Pretty amazing and totally deserving of every one of those sales. I can hardly wait for Uncharted 3. We have both games at 7.42 so looks like VGC is spot on.

Great sales, but imo they shouldve waited another year for Uncharted 3, i'm afraid this could cut the legs of UC2, which has done 4 mil in just over a year, i think in another 1 -2 it could do, near 6 mil.

I Want them to release UC3 in fall 2012...We have PLENTY of PS3 exclsuives coming out in 2011.

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million
