Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Why is it that Puzzle Quest never got any love?

Solid reviews, a great game.....well I never played the PSP version, but if it was half of what the DS version was, then it was a lot of fun too.

When I pull up the sales data on here it only lists it at around 200k for the DS version which, if accurate is pretty low for what was otherwise a great game.

Dunno, never played it.

Though it just came out on wii, and if it's cheap and they aren't charging 50 dollars for something that is 20 elsewhere then I may pick it up.

I liked the game but after some hours I just quit it, it is always the same and get boring.

I am surprised that it didn't sold much because it is good.

Oh it got love alright. I loved the hell out of mine.

IGN gave the Wii version a 7.0, I think. Not too bad, if the game is right up your alley.

It seems like a cool concept, and I think I would enjoy the game, but I don't want to get ripped off. If it's 20-30 dollars then I might pick it up in a few weeks, if it's 40-50 screw it, I'll wait and get it used or in a bargain bin.

im thinking of getting it for wii it sounds fun according to the reviews

And the DS version got 8.9 plus some amusing coverage on penny-arcade http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2007/03/28 not that that particularly helps sell games :)

The game is incredible. I have the DS version and highly recommend it. It's a typical boring Flash-esque puzzle game, but juiced up with RPG elements until it's one of the purest addictions ever. I love it.

According to the Xbox Live Arcade sales estimates, you can add another 120,000 purchased copies to that list....Which will definately help sales.

As everyone else has said, it's a fantastic RPG/Bejeweled 2 hybrid. Enough RPG elements to take away from the generally boring, ultra-casual element of some of the puzzle genre.

The only "issue" with the game (and such a low score) is that it's definately NOT complex, or insanely perfect by any sort of standards. Luck has a huge part in the game, and sometimes the CPU can feel like it's "cheating", stringing together lots of 4 and 5-combo chains, and damaging you alot in just a few rounds.

Sales wise, the issue is that I believe the game debuted at $40. Wayyyyyyyy too expensive. The game is meant as a sub-$20 casual pick-up game.

As a X360 owner, we get it at the stealing price of $15 USD. Definately a game you want to pick up for the DS or Wii at the $20 range.

Probably one of the best "must have" budget games of the year. Definately underrated, unless you get into a good Puzzle Quest circle.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
