well the PS3 isn't really flying off the shelves in Japan either. Nobody but a small minority (me), thought the PS3 would do so well in Europe. I did warn you, but alas, you would not listen.

Some of the more moderate Sony fans on this site actually weren't too far off.
Alot of people have written off the PS3 in Japan, but I think that 80% of the problem with the PS3 there is just the physical size. Once Sony can step down the size of the unit, sales will be at least twice the normal rate. If there is any indicator, look at the PSP. Final Fantasy will help the PS3 in Japan, but size is more important.

All of the consoles should be able to reduce the size of their product.
Thanks to kenobi after I got him to ban my old account (dallas) after someone hacked into it and being ok with me coming back under a slightly different username. I appreciate our communication in the PMs. Also I want to give a big thank you to vgchartz for being one of the cooler websites around.

me and u both no that the playstation brand is huge worldwide this is y it sell, if the xbox brand was as big in place like france,spain and japan the xbox would be crushing the ps3, remember the xbox only has 2 main markets the uk and america and it still sell as much as the ps3 , so the ps3 is doing bad
Well the numbers seem to be changing all the time on this site, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is wrong as well, besides 3,000 units is an insignificant amount.

PS3 is going to do around 8,5 mln.
2) it looks like, x360 console 2nd year sales won`t pass it`s lifetime sales, mean that console FAILED.

PS3 still has 1 YEAR to prove itself as a PS2 successor. For today, ps3 is doing GOOD.
X360 ALREADY FAILED to do that. It`s sceond year is nowhere far ahead from it`s first.

Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.
1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
