I kinda regret buying Metroid: Other M because it doesn't have much replay value.

Strangely, this year I have no regrets about what I have bought, probabably due to a lack of freetime I had to skip some of the games I was interested in, so I bought only the ones I was really looking for the most.

Bayonetta - Bought into the hype,  even got it at a discount rate, was still one of the worst hack n slash games Ive ever played.  Uninteresting story and bad characters.  Not to mention the graphical issues, but thats only a small problem compared to the rest.

Fallout New Vegas - Just an expansion of Fallout 3 as a way for selling more DLC.  Completely busted game out of the wrapper.  After getting the platinum, it will never see the inside of my PS3 again,  I dont care how great the DLC is or how well they patched it up.

3D Dot Game Heroes - The game was a blast to play, I was having alot of fun with it.  But then a couple of other games starting coming out and before long this game starting collecting dust on my shelf.  And with the lineup that is coming up in the recent months it doesnt look like I will ever get back to it.  Great game,  just no time to play it.

Medal of Honor (X360) - Bought this game as a Christmas gift for my brother when Amazon had it as a Gold Box deal for $30 about a month ago.   But due to his new job he no longer has time for video games and as a result doesnt want any new ones.  So now I am stuck with a game that I already have for another system.

Mw2. I bought it cos a freind told me to get it so we could play online co-op together but he never wants to play it anymore. We've only played 5-6 hours.

Shiren The Wanderer (Wii): It was a torture to finish it and not in a good way.

Guitar Hero 5: The song selection has too many genres and unknown songs. Also the group was already burn by the music genre so we didn't really played it.

I have had a few disappointments  (FFXIII and Metroid), in hindsight FFXIII was a meh experience but I spent a lot of time on the game and I got Other M cheap. A full price game that I didn't even finish was Red Dead Redemption, it was very fun to start with but got too repetitive and I just lost interest at one point and never played it again. i honestly had a pretty good year.

Galaxy2 - couldn't finish it but let's be honest, my current disgruntled feeling for nintendo was a contributing factor.

bioshock2 - i actually did finish it but i was pretty annoyed by the game by the end.   no way that should have been called a sequel.

so really a pretty short list.  ussually i have a least 5 or so a year that would fit the bill.  and with demon's souls, heavy rain, and GoWIII this has been possibly my favorite year in gaming recently.  had LBP2 actually come out this year it certainly would have been.  next year with LBP2, infamous2, and portal2 it's already looking to be another really good year to me.

Gears of War 2 - I would have listed Gears of War 1, but franchise itself wasn't why I regret it.

I bought both of them at the same time, Gears of War 2 collectors edition, and Gears of War 1. I thought I would love the Gears franchise, but it turned out I was disappointed.... the regret itself is from the fact I bought 2 without playing 1...if I played 1 I know in my heart I would have waited a long time to get 2 when it would be cheaper.
