I would also like to thank my Santa, whoever he is.  Everything he got me was something I was kind of on the fence about!

Steam is a PC service that does many things.  Most relevant here is that it's a digital PC-game store that lets you buy most PC titles, and it lets you gift them to others as well.  It tends to have some pretty good sales, especially around Christmas.

It's a free program you download and install.  It's only 1.5 MB.  You create a free account.  And then... you buy awesome games really cheap.  They have crazy sales all the time, like GTA 1, 2, 3, Vice City, and San Andreas all for $6, or they do even crazier sales like giving away Portal for free.  Right now they're doing their Christmas sale, with different sales every day until January 2nd, anywhere from 10% to 92% off.

Mass Effect 2 and BioShock2, sweet. Now I just need to finish some of my 50 unfinished games, and finish Mass Effect 1. Oh time, where do you go?

Gotta say this year has went very well both Wii and Steam Secret Santa, pleased some people on both, got some games I was really eying, and it's enough to keep me busy for a good while.

Ditto and likewise:  the community seems to have shrunk in total size, but it's still encouraging to see that many of the people that are still here want to join events like these.  Thanks to all of you for joining!
