What? In Japan MH >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Gran Turismo.

I just meant that MHP3 Japan > GT5 WW is pretty stunning.

It still boggles my mind.

GT5 will have better legs, but its still crazy to see MH with such a huge opening in only one country.

I'm not so sure about that one. MHP2G is still in the top 10 every week for PSP.

Every freaking thread GT5 is mentioned, my God. Anyway, we should compare this game to DQ games as they have more in common and huge popular in one region. can this game achieve 5 million ?

So apparently the Japanese didn't get the memo that the PSP is dead.

Great job for PSP.  Now, only if the West could realize how good of a system the PSP is and didn't use it for freeloading so much.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Yeah, MoHun has some incredible legs on the PSP, that's for sure.

But I'm thinking that GT5 will be a significant PS3 companion game and continue to sell decently for a long while. We'll see.

@PSRock

I didn't mention GT5 to put it down... it's just the fact that one series (MoHun) outsold a huge series (GT5) for week one sales. Not really picking on any title.

Sony probably will pay for Monster Hunter Portable 4 be an PSP2 exclusivo.

I suppose that would really pricey considering that Capcom might also have a shitload of profit with a 3DS iteration.

It will sell just as well on PSP2. Not to mention that MHP is more than one game series for PSP. It defines whole platform in Japan. Sony would be stupid not to moneyhat capcom and I seriously doubt that Nintendo will enter that race as they already have Pokemon, Mario and probably next DQ so they really don't need MHP. it would be just nice bonus.

Don't be so sure, after all Nintendo outmaneuvered Sony for MH3, there's no telling if they'll do the same or not for MHP4.  MoHun's one of the series Iwata's taken a personal interest in even, I think Nintendo will definitely fight for it (and Dragon Quest... Final Fantasy they seem to have little desire in grabbing).

I tend to agree that Sony needs MHP4 more though... if they can't secure that game, then they might as well not bother with PSP2 imo.

Though home console MH is a lot smaller game compared to its portable version and PS3 actually has better 3rd party support in Japan than Wii so maybe Nintendo felt that they really need it. We shall see what happens with MHP4. I bet that it ends up on PSP2 as Sony really needs it and usually when it comes to 3rd parties Sony has handled them better than Nintendo. It won't be huge surprise though if it comes to 3ds after all.

MHP4 is a long way away, if anything it'll go MH3G (PS3)->MHP3G(3DS)->MH4(Wii2)->MHP4(3DS)

1) MH3G will go to PS3, maybe PS3/Wii, because of the under performance of MHTri

2) MHP3G will go to 3DS for obvious reasons

3) MH4 will go to Wii 2 because by then PS3 will be dying and Wii 2 will be gaining momentum

4) MHP4 will go to 3DS for obvious reasons

We've been over this before, Capcom doesn't consider MH3 to have "underperformed".

Personally, I'm still an advocate for MH3G being Wii/3DS.  Shared assets, engine, and even a shared network would be possible then.

Being a WIi owner (and a future 3DS owner) I'm certainly all for it, but couldn't the same argument be used for PSP/PS3? (or maybe PSP2/PS3)

How many PSP/PS3 crossovers exist that use the same assets and engine?

How many PSP/Wii crossovers exist that use the same assets and engine?

PSP/Wii would be way more likely then a PSP/PS3.

Not to many of either of them, though Sengoku Basara 3 and Tales fo Graces come to my mind for the PS3/Wii combo, and both sold much better on the PS3 by the way.

i think ever psp go will have a huge boost because of monster hunter 3rd i think it will do beetween 5k and 10k

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m
