Gamefront and Japanese websites have confirmed that DQS will be out July 12, 2007 in Japan.

Apparently Wii shipments are about to increase by a significant margin as well in Japan, in anticipation of: Super Paper Mario (late April), Big Brain Academy (late April), Mario Parrty 8 (late May/early June I think), Dragon Quest Swords (July)

I've checked the official website of Level 5 and says somewhere 2007, no release date set. Wouldn't they be the first to announce that on their website? Neither I find the game on shoppingsites so to me it's nothing but rumor 135.689 of this year only.

Whoops sorry I was confused with Dragon Quest 9, completely my mistake  Looking the whole afternoon for a CD rom with important pictures so I'm kind of confused about that, that I misread the title.

That would be awesome news. Can't wait!! On the official website of SE it still says Spring 2007, and yes I've looked on the page of Dragon Quest Swords  Perhaps that will change soon.

it's 3 months until DQ swords comes out in Japan, how many wiis you think they will sell by then?   I think it's gonna be more than 3 million by then.  At an average of 70,000 a week it will sell enough to reach 3 million.  Wii should average more like 80,000 a week or more due to those games you mentioned, and ramped up production.
