Forums - Nintendo Discussion - GamrReview Review: Call Of Duty: Black Ops (Wii)

http://gamrreview.vgchartz.com/review/44953/call-of-duty-black-ops/

Call Of Duty. These three simple words hold so much weight in the gaming world. Sales records are consistently broken when a new game bearing the name is released; businesses and schools report high absentee rates and gamers everywhere shout obscenities into tiny headsets. These things are what make Call Of Duty not just another first person shooter but a social phenomenon. Now, while the HD versions of recent Call Of Duty titles have come loaded with extra modes and options, the Wii versions have focused on bringing the ‘core’ experience of the single player and online modes of the series to Nintendo’s console. Well, Treyarch has finally decided to buck this trend and finally offer Wii gamers a complete Call Of Duty experience with Call Of Duty: Black Ops, and it’s good.

enjoy : )

Great review! Really enjoyed it. I think it deserved a slightly higher score than Goldeneye though, both are geta games, COD just edges it for me due to the great online system!

I found CoD good but not even close as good as Goldeneye. But then, I don't care much for online gaming. Anyway, there are the two best shooters available for the Wii.

Shiny review. Keep up the good work Alex!

It's cool to see that it's on par with the HD version.

I think if I was choosing over the single player campaigns I would pick Goldeneye. But if if you are a single player gamer there is still more content on COD, you can do the multiplayer with bots and you can do the Zombie mode solo too!

However I must say I've not enjoyed an FPS campaign mode as much since I played the original Goldeneye and Perfect Dark on the N64.

Great review.

This game has already taken loads of my gameplaying time. I think its worth nothing that Treyarch/Activision is being very transparent on their website on about what they are patching and when consumers on Wii are expected to see a patch.

Nice review. I haven't played the game yet, so I cannot comment on the substance of the review, but I thought it was structured well and stayed on topic. I like how you kept the review relevant to the game. While that seems like it would be common sense, I see a lot of reviews today that seem to get long-winded and never really look at the important aspects of games. Overall, very nice job.
