Where's Ubisoft?

I would of feed into that hate except I actually enjoyed double agent and Rainbow six vegas. The will be forgiven for red steel..... kinda.

That's not good for Sony. A lot of PS2 owners (such as I) like to visit this site since the Top 10 FAQ pages are usually dominated by PS2 titles.

I want to say Ubisoft too, since the quality if their games for the PSP and especially the Wii show their slopiness.

EA may release crappy games over and over for lots of money but at least they haven't done anything illegal and highly immoral like Sony and Microsoft.

Such as?

Sony's list off the top of my head,

Adopting rumble without doing proper patent research and effectively stealing immersion's idea.

Removing the space between "Play" and "Station" to make "PlayStation" and effectively stealing nintendo's "Play Station" trademark.

Root Kit

Lik-Sang

Not doing proper quality or safety assurance on millions of potentially explosive devices and then shipping them worldwide into consumer's hands.

(all may not be illegal but rest on the opposite side of ethical quite easily.)

"Not doing proper quality or safety assurance on millions of potentially explosive devices..."
I'm assuming you're talking about the laptop battery situation. You’re assuming Sony didn’t perform the proper quality control measures on purpose and willfully sold the batteries anyway.

Lik-Sang - That company was sued by Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo for copyright infringement.

Root Kit - That was Sony BMG. So it's not really in the context of reasons for hating the video game division.

The "Play Station" was a joint venture between Nintendo and Sony that Nintendo backed out of. I couldn't find any information on Nintendo wholly owning the "Play Station" trademark, nor could I find any information on Nintendo sueing Sony over this.

Immersion Lawsuit - Patent infringement lawsuits occur all the time. It's almost impossible to avoid being sued by some small technology company that holds and long list of unused and obscure patents. It's also difficult to determine if you've crossed the line onto someone patent with your own version of the technology.

I just wanna say seriously guys. If you think sony is the only corporation out there that makes mistakes think agian.

Nintendo sued the same company sony did, lik-sang. Sony is hated. Nintendo is loved.

Microsoft makes a console that at least, 1/15 die. That's ok. Since sony pays someone to make batterys for them, it's sony gets hated. It's ok to make 1/15 400$ consoles die tho.

It's ok to make a game for less than 1million, spend 10 million advertising it, and sell it to the masses. And sell it for as much as a AAA title. It's a GREAT AMAZING GAME! Go Nintendo!

Ok. I just dont understand the sony hate. Sony makes the best TVs. Hands down.

I say EA. I hate EA.

Back in the day Nintendo sued Lik-Sang because they were selling products to copy/pirate GBA games.

Anyways, the Sony hatred can be explained in one sentence "They charged $600 for a gaming system" which most people think is an insane price.

Keep in mind that especially for video games, these opinion polls are heavily weighted towards whoever seems to be dominant at the moment. If Sony or Microsoft comes back, they will once again be the most popular. It's just a popularity contest without all the ironies of life y'all.

To me, that is a poor reason to hate a company. If you think their product is too expensive, then just don't buy it.

I don't hate them for that ...

But I remember watching everyone before E3 saying "The XBox 360 sucks! Who would charge $400 for a crappy gaming system" to everyone saying after E3 "$600! I hate Sony!"

I think there is more to it than just the price (Sony's attitude that people would get a second job to buy a PS3 even if it didn't have any games) but the price is what triggered the shift ...

I would have answered Sony, and EA in 2nd place, I would have guessed right. I hate Sony and EA too.
