Forums - Sony Discussion - Gametrailers FINALLY review GT5

Not sure about everyone else but this is the GT5 I've been waiting for as I for the most part only really look to GameTrailers' for their opinion (no real idea why but whatever).

Finally they release their review and here it is.

I would post the score but spoiler tags don't seem to exist here so...

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Fair review.

Nice.

Seemed like the review had too many negatives to justify that score, to me. Must just be a case of overwhelming levels of content increasing the score.

it's a nice review.

Interesting. I felt like the review spent a lot of time talking about the faults. If I had to guess at the score after hearing/watching it I would have guessed mid to low 8's.

They come to basically the same conslusion as every reviewer that put the game in the 8.0-8.9 range, but on balance they obviously through the positives outweighed the negatives by a wide enough margin to sneak it into the 9's.

A good review, and I tend to agree that Game Trailers generally do a good job with their reviews.

Odd that they say there's no mechanical/performance consequences to damage. I'm still confused about this. Is there or is there not mechanical/performance damage in this game?

Those shots of std models do look pretty lame, and really don't belong on PS3. A mistake going for quantity over total model quality? I think so. Should have started the game with 600 better modeled cars and then released more high quality models as DLC. Buy 50 car models for just a few bucks.

There are after progress in game and justo with premium ones.

But it's I read before... my game coming Dec 7.

Their is a patch for mechanical damage being released later this month. It hasn't been confirmed if its for all cars. I have had a standard civic get paint damage but the damage does seem inconsistant. Somthing that Kaz has tweeted saying will be fixed with patches.

There is no mechanical damage at this time. It is being patched in this month and it will be in all cars. What I hope is that their is transmission damage for bad shifting. That would put a whole new angle on the game.
