Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Alan Wake over 1 million now? (w/ Holiday bundle DL Token "sales")

The current VGChartz numbers for Alan Wake are 825k. VGC isn't tracking the AW DL Token included with the 360 Holiday bundles and those bundles have been selling pretty well, as we can see by examining Forza 3's Americas numbers lately. (Forza 3 is also in the Holiday bundle)

In the Americas Forza 3 has gone from below 8k (not listed in the top 200) on Nov. 6th, to 44k on Nov. 13th, to 75k on Nov. 20th, to 206k on Nov. 27th(BF week)

Now it's hard to believe that Forza 3 would just jump up so high without the Holiday bundle in the Americas. Since Alan Wake is also included in that bundle, I think it's safe to say that AW should be well over 1 million now (including the DL Token sales)

Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

The game deserver... but like GT5:P the sales here will be lower real one.

Started playing it again last week.  Got hooked all over again.  I downloaded the two DLC's but I'm saving "The Writer" for later.  I'm just replaying the main game and looking for Achievements.  It deserves (deserved?) to hit a million.  I plan to go back and play Silent Hill Homecoming and Silent Hill Shattered Memories when I do all I want to do in AW.  I'm hooked on being afraid while playing games, now.

Alan Wake is my GOTY. It may not have been flawless, but it was a damn fun and interesting game. I think based on the ending of the final DLC, the announcement that Remedy is working on a AAA titles for the Xbox 360, the release of Alan Wake on GoD and the bundle that it is pretty safe to say we are going to see a sequel. The game started off slow in sales but it really picked up by word of mouth.

People can no longer say the game flopped :)

Yeah I'd say its safe to say Alan Wake has sold between 1-1.1 million copies now.

In my opinion the sales should be included. Just because a console comes with a disc doesnt mean that is the reason the console was purchased, but it is included.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

Its gotta a million from digital downloads now. Its also just a matter of time before the physical copy hits a million.

I hope the digital downloads brings a bigger following to Alan Wake. I think there is a very good chance we'll be seeing a sequel.
