Nice to see Russia hosting 2018, but 2022 should be on Australia IMO. Oh well, 2026 probably will be there, and India or Mexico for 2030 I'd guess.

Qatar today is one of the countries that more spend cash in soccer.

I've never understood why the fact a country has never hosted such an event is so important, it should go to the countries who have the best facilities and stadiums and that ain't russia by a long way.

Fair play ( or not if the corruption allegations get proven to be true) to russia, Jack  'I love England' Walker should be sent down for the petty thief he is, along with his other cronies platini and blatter this is a dream result for them.

i knew England would get the shaft again, Blatter and Co never liked England even before the panorama thing, i am beggining to hate FIFA, i really wanted to watch the world cup final in my town:(. it is is funny that England put so much effort in to this bid, the prime minister, the prince and beckam went there personally, and putin didnt even bother to show up and still won.

i think Qatar could be good, qatar was my transit on my way to Dubai last year and i spent 1 day there, i liked it.

I really don't see what is problem with Russia. They have money, stadiums and enough audience. Cold weather is also silly reason. In summer weather is warmer in Russia than it's in UK. Some people here have rather wicked image of Russia. Not to mention they have never hosted one even though they have great national team.

Give me the names of 10 world class stadiums in Russia, we have stadiums in the 2nd division that are better than half the stadiums in Russia.
