Action RPG.

MGS4 is full of win. Other than that, GOW3 if you like platformers. Its full of epic win.

Action RPG's pretty much require you go into WRPG's like Fallout and Oblivion unless you want a fast paced strategic like Resonance of Fate or a non-RPG Zelda like game such as 3D Dot Game Heroes. 

unless you can speak Japanese in which case Tales of Grace F is coming soon, and you can hope for the new PS3 Tales game to make it over to the states at some point.

If you like Action RPG, Nier is a good choice.

On another note, you have Valkyria Chronicles which is a srpg, but which includes action in its gameplay.

OT: Yakuza 3.

Oh I forgot about Star Ocean, that would be a good choice if you want action RPG, and the PS3 version lets you mute specific characters which I hear is a god send.

The best ARPG I played this gen was Ys Seven but it's for PSP.
