I agree with you with everything except your last line. Don't stoop to his level.

Aww I was having fun. It was blatantly obvious that a guy whos signature is littered with Xbox fanboyism was going to bash on PSN plus. IMHO Live is poor value. I would be willing to pay $15/year for nothing more than quality online play. For $60, you better get free games or SOMETHING free.
i thought everyone already knew you cant keep the stuff you DL from playstation plus if you let your subscription run out
Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!
Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

If it was well known to begin with this thread wouldn't exist and the guy wouldn't be apologizing.
If this was Xbox Live and Microsoft people would be spitting venom right now. More than likely from the Playstation side too.

Apparently not. Funny thing is, when you download a free game or free DLC from PSN Plus, if even pops up a full screen notification that the DLC/Game will expire when your PSN Plus subscription expires, and that you can continue playing if you renew it.
I think the topic got a lot of people spooked into thinking that discounted DLC will not be playable after your sub expires, which is NOT the case.

the information was right in front of them when they bought the service, its their own fault they can't read
Time for hype

exactly. its really a non issue. Its not Sony's fault if you refuse to read the terms of the agreement.

No it's not end thread, if someone is a PSN subscriber for a year, under the notion they get the DLC free, and then are unable to afford it for whatever reasons, you think that's acceptable? |
But that's not the case and it's their fault if they threw 50$ down without filling themselves in on what they were getting into but instead just went with what ever they could find on the internet or less...
You keep certain things but stuff like free games and DLC you only keep with a sub? Is that bad? No. Because if I don't have the money to resub I can wait until I resub again and when i do it all reactivates. Don't like that system? It's my fault if I didn't know what I was getting into.
Also, with regards to what you said about value: the first week of PSN had 88$ worth in savings... FIRST WEEK. I myself have run into some great games with the service I probably would have never gotten my hand on. So far 50$ worth in games at the least (haven't kept track but i know it's definitely more than that). I'm just talking pure games... no dlc or other things. I'm not even a 3rd of the way through a year's sub AND that's NOT including the 3 extra months I have which SONY STILL HAS ON OFFER in the store for anyone that pays for a year.
I find it just insane when people say that PSN plus isn't a great value...

It's in the terms of agreement when you sign up and EVERY TIME you download a game or DLC with PSN Plus it notifies you of this... SONY's not screwing anyone. The screwee is also the screwer.
As for the apologize, they probably just got alot of feedback like people complaining or something. It's PR... what is he gonna say? "Fuck you! Should have read the terms of agreement, bitch.", "uh... yea... about that... See, you got it all wrong..." or "We're sorry we didn't make this clear enough for everyone to understand..."?
