Forums - Gaming Discussion - We all have been gamers for so long right, but where did it REALLY start?

My Moms boyfriend of the year took us to Pie in the Sky Arcade. Their I played Joust and Donkey Kong and was forever hooked.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Around the Network

In 1998 i found Super Mario 64 in my cousin's basement. Before that i thought gaming was for losers.

Really that same individual introduced me to three defining passions of mine: Nintendo, Star Wars, and LotR, though my passion for Star Wars and Nintendo has long since surpassed hers

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

1992, with Mega Man 3. I vividly remember pissing the crap outta my older brother by constantly whining: "Lemme play, lemme play!" and hogging the controller for like a half an hour whenever he did let me play.

Ah, good times...

I think it started when my best friend let me play his pokemon red...around 1998...I know it's late compared to others, was born in 1991 and was pretty oblivious to gaming...but once I got into it..well...here I am!!! had to do alot of catching up!!!(and still do)

Super Mario Bros. just like the majority of other gamers. I still get super nostalgia when I play it.
