Well it's less domed now as a slim than when it was a phat. And I believe the console has the same form factor in all regions. You could almost be forgiven for thinking that the PS3 slim is almost flat, but there is still a convex curve on the top of the box, meaning it's still slightly domed. Just not as much as the phat...

I don't think the ps3 has to out sell the 360 in america to "win". Since the 360 is behind in every region except America it stands to logic that one could make a argument that it may be doomed. The truth is though, In order for a system to "win" it merely has to be profitable for the company making it.
