in order for them to be the best. They have to make the best games. Which I'd say not really close though I do love gears.

Makers of the current best engine. the "Unreal 3.0" I'd probably agree with off the top of my head. And they have consistently made great engines... so if that's what your basing it on, maybe....

Even if they are nice to their fans. Better games matter more than if I like them individually... or if they listen to many fans who often don't realize the possible negative engine consequences of wanting something.

Just like for music etc. Just because my friend does music and listens to me doesnt mean I think he's the best musician.

To find the best you'd have to go back in time to 1993 and find id Software.

The best today, though, is probably Bioware. AT least in terms of overall quality. Then Valve, in terms of . . . everything.

For fucks sake I wanted them to fix their online problems and it took 2 years. Maybe Blizzard is the best dev theres some contenders for sure.

I like Nintendo. 

-People say they want traditional Starfox. Nintendo says fuck you.

-People say they didn't want cell shaded Link.  Nintendo says fuck you.

-People said they didn't want Friend Codes.  Nintendo says fuck you.

-People wanted HDD support for the Wii.  Nintendo says fuck you.

-I could probably give a dozen more examples of Nintendo telling me to go fuck off.

I like it when a company shows a little backbone instead of giving me every thing I ask for.  It turns me on.  And in Nintendo's defense, usually they're right.  I just need to learn to stay in my place.

Seriously though, Blizzard, Valve or.....maybe Sony.  They do so many nice things for me.  :)

A Wii Remote hit me in the eye, once.  I told the police that I fell down the steps and hit a doorknob.  Nintendo only hits me because he loves me.

Seriously though, Nintendo, Bioware, Capcom (when they're good, they're good) and Platinum (a new fav of mine) are my companies of choice.  Konami and Naughty Dog are just a hair below the ones I listed, imo.
