Statistical Info -

Range between predictions for Week 1 sales (basically highest prediction for that region minus lowest for that region):

NA - 1.05 Million

EMEAA - 1.8 Million

JP - 0.7 Million

Worldwide - 2.95 Million

There is a difference of 2.95 between the highest week 1 and the lowest week 1 prediction...guys this is really funny

Life To Death Sales (LTD)

Statistical Info -

Range between predictions for LTD sales (basically highest prediction for that region minus lowest for that region):

NA - 4.4 Million

EMEAA - 5.7 Million

JP - 3.8 Million (The range for Japan sales is ALMOST more than any Final Fantasy game has ever sold in Japan......LOL)

Worldwide - 11.1 Million

Guys the difference between the highest LTD sales prediction and the lowest LTD sales prediction is 11.1 Million......guys this is TERRIFYING!

So what are your thoughts on your and other predictions?

Especially the high/low ones!

Wow. I expected 3.15M opening?

I thought I said 2.5 to 3. Meh.

Anyway. 1.8 Million in 2 days of sale (1 in Japan), I'm not going to complain about that. If Sony advertised it in Europe though, maybe we could have had a whole lot more!

Agreed. The vast majority of people (46/69) predicted higher first week sales.

AVG prediction is 2.64 first week sales are expected to be 2.4-2.5, close enough.

And some people didn't have the balls to give a prediction

LOL @ ElGranCabeza and the guy who thinks it will sell 4.2 million in JAPAN!!!

True.

I'm happy with my 2.25 first week sales, but on hindsight I would pitch the LTD higher.

first week sales arent even out. the 2.4 million is an estimate by vgchartz it might be higher or lower.

the people who will be eating crow are the people who put very low numbers, and the ones who did to high. also you have to remember that some predictions were made 1-2-3 months back, and back then no one expected such pre order numbers in na.
