o_o quoting my quotes from other sites, so not cool bro, ppl don't want us to compare gt5 and forza sales??

why did you make it so obvious that it was you? so not professional, I have 68 different accounts on some other 29 forums and no one knows who I really am, I got paid to do this shit and I do it good.

anyway good numbers, I was expecting around 2m first week and thought that was quite optmistic, its going to be interesting to see how it sells through december.

at least i don't lie about what i do.....

Edit: not saying you do lie about what you do

it's the future of handheld

is that really amazing sales?well,i just expected more(2.7~3m first week, because Black Friday)

These are sales for first 2 days in America and EMEAA and 1 day for Japan.

These are Wednesday and Thursday sales, so they do not include anything from Black Friday.

Good sales for a good game. Will be interesting to see the Track article on monday. I think that will give us an indication of how acurate these numbers are as i think UK is  the biggest racing game market in Europe right?

Solid opening for GT5 then. But it will be interesting in the coming weeks to see how it drops off. That will give us a better idea of the type of legs we can see from it. GT4 sold almost 50% of it's entire sales in the first month (4.4m). And that was not even in a holiday period. This time round GT5 has the holiday period to sell to. If it hasen't reached at least 4.4m by jan 1st then i think it will struggle to get to the 10m mark. I think most peoples view of around 8m lifetime could be quite likely.

GT4 sold 10 million after 4 years. Just saying that it's the legs that will determine LTD sales.

Vgchartz numbers dont matter to me, ill wait for PD shipment updated, they will ship 7-8 million copies as of 31st decembre

I'll wait for NPD, media create, charttrack e.t.c and not the BS PR numbers from PD or sony in general. But of course sony's numbers have become some people's religion since they are the only numbers they find comfort with.

Great sales but I can't help but feel that the FW numbers could have been higher if Sony had advertised it aggressively. I haven't seen any advertisement here on TV and the stores themselves hardly advertise GT5's availability either.

Hopefully Sony will start advertising more as soon as possible or they will lose potentially great sales over the holidays (they will still be great, but could be greater imo).

Aren't you people tired of this memo with "sony not advertising" ?? It is being used again and again and again....

I'll w8 for the crying fa.....ohh w8 already here. =D

BTW next weeks HW numbers are gonna be EPIC!!

Forza 3 was only in development for 2 years :), GT5 spent more than twice as much time to make...

And I thought ppl were comparing it to Halo?

lol

not that you didn't already get banned but Prologe sold 4.01mil, PSP version sold 1.53mil, and now GT5 is selling 1.8mil estimated in 2 days so far, this is within the past 5 years. It's simply a much bigger name than Forza3 by name brand, I still have not seen any racing sim selling as much as GT series thus far tbh. GT as a series will effectively be making more profits than the Forza name this gen by a long shot by just looking at the current numbers and future predictions.

with black friday sales are gonne be masiive!
