Forums - Sony Discussion - EA and CodeMasters take aim at GT5!

EA/Codemasterrs have made a good point, while i wont be getting GT5 for a couple of months. it seems like the physics, and the simiulation experience is perfect. its just Polyphony havent updated the formula of how you play the GT, the games formula has been lifted from previous games and the series hasnt evolved like other racing games.

but imo, it dosent matter, GT is GT at the end. they'll be a GT6 and they'll improve on all these things next time. its not going to stop fans from enjoying the game.

I don't understand people saying a racing sim is less exciting than an arcade racer. If the sim is good, pushing cars to their limits can be very exciting and adrenalinic. There's no accounting for tastes, but I find this more exciting than unrealistic arcadey stunts, although I loved also some more arcade racers, like TOCA and Interstate '76 (that had also the combat aspect, though).

Well, what kind I tell you EA & Codemasters...enjoy yourselves in the DUST Gran Turismo always leave you to while watching your racing games on its rearview mirror!

who cares what some other game companies think,if GT is your think, then just buy it already. lol

The only fun NFS games are the street racing ones. Shift sucks because the driving mechanics are terrible. Go into a corner at 100 MPH, slam on the brakes, stick like glue and make the turn, then exit at 100 MPH. You ALWAYS have to be on the inside lane too. GT5 has neccessary braking (realistic), and recognizes the outside lane as a viable place (realistic). That was the biggest problem with EA's shitty NASCAR games. Couldn't run on the outside like in real life.

As for me, I don't care about the shiny stuff, I care about the driving. Thats the point of the game. Although GT5's menus are very nice ;)

Why does the sales matter so much ? its not about sales its about better games,

and like i said , Codemasters don't make Sim Racers so they have no grounds commenting on this at all.

also F1 2010 is hardly a sim racer.

i gotta agree with what they have said gt5 feels a bit dead for some reason lol. its still good though.

wait they cant comment on a game because they dont make that type of game? then why are we commenting.?

People are just upset because it doesn't have a boost button or shoots guns, maybe GT6 will feature a Zombie mode. ¬_¬

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

thats not what i mean't, it doesn't really mke sense if you make  arcadey game and comparing it to a realistic sim game.

they're both different types of games, its like if one company sys their beat em up game is more appealing than an adventure game because its more appealing.
