i dont think RE5 will come but i think this and the sales of the RE titles on wii might motivate capcom to make a real RE game on wii.

Owning both a PS3 and Wii,here´s what I want:RE5 for the PS3(which is already reality) and a Resident Evil 2 remake for the Wii.

Heck right now any remake of a re game for the wii would be welcome as long as it has the over the shoulder cam/ controls from 4

I didn't read the interview but I can guess it's the one where the producer says it could be a possibility if the petition gets enough attention. Well, sorry to tell you this but he's lying out of his ass. Nobody would be dumb enough to flat out say no because 1) it backs them into a corner and 2) he doesn't want to piss fans off. By saying it's possible he's not going to upset the people that signed the petition and they will continue to support Capcom and Capcom Wii games to prove that Wii owners love Capcom. Congratulations, you're being a tool for signing that.

You're right that graphics really don't matter for the most part, but when there's a directly comparable version like the 360/PS3 version and the Wii version there will be comparisons and the Wii version will be seen as inferior. BUT that's not the reason why I don't think it will happen. My reason is in fact that everything will have to be scaled down. Every texture will have to be redone, every model, lighting completely redone, and levels redesigned to account for vis. Remember, the Wii doesn't have anywhere near the memory of the PS3 or 360 so simply scaling down textures will not work. It will be like they are making a new game in that they will have to have en entire production team working on this with a new production budget. If they are going to go that far, like I said, I would rather just see a new RE game. Remember people, not every game has to be on every system or else we would just have one system.

Then I'm sorry for the assumption. :P (though I still stand by my comments about that interview) And yes, RE4 and REUC are great ways into the Wii market but has little to do with RE5.

Q: We gave Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition an excellent score. Why isn't Capcom bringing RE5 to Wii? As we seen with that game, impressive graphics can be done on that platform as well.

A: Decisions surrending the RE5 project were taken a long time ago and they needed to choose quickly on which platform they wanted to develop it. They haven't decided if they will port RE5 on Wii yet. So in a way this game; well both games (refering to RE:UC and RE4Wii), will help us to test the market, to see if developing this genre on this platform is interesting. The decision is not made yet.

It's a relatively unprompted comment that had nothing to do with the petition twesterm. They certainly could have outright said "No RE5 Wii, but there may be other games in the series on the platform" and gotten away with it just fine. I'm not convinced, but this is relatively solid evidence that there is at least a chance.

Ugh, completely off topic but the music in RE4 is one thing that pissed me off. It wasn't that the music was bad (to me at least), it's that it completely killed the mood-- or I suppose the proper way to say it would be that the lack of music completely killed the mood. So the people that have never played the game can get caught, the music in the game pretty much went like this: when there are enemies present the music plays, when there are no enemies present or you killed them all, there is no music. The reason that bothered me is because RE4 is supposed to be a tense game that should make the player feel nervous but the music killed that completely. I would just get finished with killing a horde of baddies and then suddenly the music would stop. I knew I was safe and that I was free to run about the area to collect everything I missed. I know that the game shouldn't be only tense with no cool down, but it just seems they shouldn't so blatantly tell you hey, you're done with this area so now go back and search around for ammo and whatever you might have missed because there's no more danger here! Hopefully that is fixed with RE5. /rant
