Resident evil 5 on Wii...please Mr Capcom !

Online petitions usually don´t work...I agree with twestern,there are too many obstacles by now,but that´s why I own both PS3 and Wii...really,if (some) Wii only owners keep complaining that most major franchises are only on PS3/360,just get one of them next year or in 2009...if you have the money,it´s that easy.

I think Wii will get it eventually but Capcom may just take the opportunity to "play catch up" for the Wii owners and revisit old RE titles ie RE2 etc and give them a make over to re-release these on the Wii before getting to RE5.

It delights me to no end to see people so scared of the possibility that RE5 could go Wii.

Unless you want RE to become an exclusively western franchise, then you'll put RE5 on the Wii. The PS3 won't move enough copies in Japan, nor will the 360.

The Wii has earned RE5. And I will gladly take a port a year after the 360/PS3 release if I have to.

Also, according to GoNintendo.com Capcom has already said they're taken notice of this petition and have stated that they are glad to see interest for RE5 on the Wii.

They have also said that RE:UC will decide Resident Evil's future on the Wii. And With RE:UC having sold almost its lifetime expectancy in a month, things are looking good for this. Though nothing is certain with Capcom.

If the petition doesn't works, it doesn't work, if the game isn't made for the Wii, it isn't made for the Wii. But this thread and this petition is for the people who want it to happen regardless the odds. Saying it won't happen or that nothing will come of it just points to one of two things:

1. You're looking for support in your hopes that this doesn't happen or can't.

or

2. You want to discourage as many people as possible from supporting the petition because you don't want it to happen.

Quality is in the gameplay, not the graphics, Kber.

Besides, last time I checked, the quality of games seems to rely on the reviews it gets when it comes to gamers like yourself .

Scale back the texturing, the AI in a few spots, add extra content for the Wii version in addition to the superior controls and you really have to wonder who will be getting the gimped version in the end? And when the successor to the Wii comes out, RE5 can be ported to that with the extra content of the Wii version but the graphics that were those of the 360 and PS3. Just think of the Wii version of RE5 as something to tide us over until the Wii's successor comes along. :)

Also Kber tell me, does it bother you to play a "gimped" version of RE4 for the PS2?

I'm sure you would have also argued that Monster Hunter 3, already in development for the PS3, could never be done on the Wii either.
