Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Resident Evil 5 for Wii Petition.

Signed. I'll laugh at Twestern when it does happen.

And sorry, the only thing this generation we'll be missing on the 360 are western developed games.

I signed.

I might have singed it before a long time ago.

RE5 deserves to be on a system as great as the Wii, it will be a waste on the others.

 Sigh what a fanboy reaction.

If I had a 360/ps3 I still wouldn't buy RE5. I can't aim using those controllers. Playing with the Wiimote and Nunchuck feels so much better. If it came to Wii i would totally buy it.

Signed~

Yes, it is isn't it? Sorry, some people don't want to make $400-$600 dollar investments in a console with either no future (PS3) or no Eastern Market and a 30-100% failure rate (360).

Remember when we valued integrity, quality, innovation, companies that were solely invested in gaming and not money hungry conglomerates seeking to use video games as a throw away stepping stone to expanding their media markets.

There is no integrity in supporting all three consoles this generation, the solution is not that easy. This is the generation where you take a stand in what direction you want gaming to go. The Wii has earned Capcom its record earnings this year with its games and Resident Evil titles, the least Capcom could do is return that favor and make even more money in doing so.

Bump

Yeah, I don't want to go back to the crappy controls with the PS3/360. After playing RE4 on Wii, can anyone go back to analogue?

Signed.

Yikes. That's an even more fanboy/girl reaction!

And I would gladly eat crow if it did happen because I would love to play RE5 with RE4 controls. Don't get me wrong, I thought RE4 was fantastic and the Wii controls made it even more fantastic. There are just many issues bringing a game as late in development as RE5 is to the Wii. They would either have to drastically reduce the models and things going on in the environments so the Wii could handle it or they would have to change the gameplay.

The Wii only has so much memory available and it simply can't handle the textures, models, lighting, and everything else going on in the background.  Levels would have to be redesigned to handle vis, environments would have to be altered and made to feel less alive to fit, and models would be scaled down A LOT to run.  The game would just be different and it would be considered just not as good.

It's a lose-lose situation where either method would be considered the car inferior version even with the supiorer controls.
