Another factor in x360 success was not only made by an American company but during this time  laptop were becoming more popular over desktop.  A good number of gamers who played FPS on desktop during the days of ps2/xbox later turn to X360 as laptops were becoming a huge factor. X360 can still  run FPS better than the majority of laptops. PC gaming is not dead but when it comes to PC huge leap in graphics over consoles, those days are gone.

Mod Nation Racers sold as well as Race Pro. LOL! Better game, but hardly a console pusher. Also I was looking at sim racers, like with real cars because those are generally the type of racing games that get inflated sales in EMEAA.

When I was refering to how people go out of their way to go domestic I was refering to 360 sales in Americas and anti 360 sales in Japan. None of the big 3 are domestic in EMEAA. I mean 4 to 1 sales of PS3 over 360 in Japan and growing?5:3 selling ratio in the states and growing? Yet in EMEAA PS3 only has a slight lead on 360, which is also growing. I didn't think PS3 and 360 were THAT different to sell soo differently in different regions.

I never really understood how MS managed to drive XBL Gold memberships this way. I mean XBL is great, don't get me wrong, but I can get all those things just by using internet explorer. Every home console has Netflix now, and Facebook and Twitter...meh.

I would think PSN with free internet explorer, minus some features (like the Party system) would atract gamers in Americas just as much.

Personally I'm putting Sony up a vote when it comes to next gen consoles due to this "paying for online gaming."

This isn't realated to the thread, so don't comment on it, but my main annoyance with XBL is tha I pay for it even if I don't use it. MS forces me to essentially buy a 12 month card, but on a typical month where I am in school I only play max 10 hours a month. I only play more when it comes to a new release or breaks.

I like this post, it's really funny. Chevy is terrible in terms of reliability. Chrysler is even worse, but Ford isn't that bad actually. I mean $30k (canadian) gets you a 425hp Mustang with better reliability then a made in Mexico Audi, and generally pretty average scores in reliability. I mean above this, what other 400hp standard FR layout car is there outside the states? Lexus IS-F, BMW M3, Benz C63-AMG are all double the price. Reliability trade-off is worth it if you don't mind the interior.

Of course I refer to Forza Motorsport 3's DLC. It's the only way so far to drive this pony in a game, so it's probably why US car fans love Forza and the 360.

Actually my good man, I assume you don't own both systems because Netflix is now better on the PS3 now that the requirement to download instantly with a disk for PS3 is gone. And you can actually search for movies you want to watch instantly just like the PC because the ps3 can access the internet while the 360 cannot. Just thought I would clarify this since its always good to be informed. Of course, my reasoning might be wrong too.
