Forums - Sony Discussion - Potential trophy issues, I don't know what to do!

Since I'm at uni, and my college has very annoying internet security things (but to make up for it, it can download Civ 5 in 2 minutes) my PS3 is not online, so none of my trophies have been synced.

However, I've come home and started to play Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, on my other PS3, while I am at home, and tomorrow, when I go back to uni, I'm going to copy the save file onto a USB stick and then continue the game at home.

The question is, what will happen to the trophies that I have earned at home? Should I sync them now, or will they be unlocked on the other PS3 with that save file; so when I get internet back on that PS3, I can sync them all at once, or will those trophies be not unlocked?

I'm not sure why, but I fear that some of my trophies could get lost if I sync my PS3 now... Please help!

Whenever I back up my system, I'm warned to sync my trophies as they'll not be backed up as a part of the process. So I'd say it's almost certain they won't carry over on your memory stick.

Sync now to be on the safe side, there's no harm syncing the same trophies twice I'd say.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

well your trophies are on the Harddrive on your Uni PS3. apart of the game saves or trophy saves i guess. so i guess moving over an new game save with new unlocked trophies wouldn't do anything i guess and just internally update the trophy list. Tho i have no clue and guessing this.

But do you have an Iphone 4. Well i have seen it work between an iphone and an computer but i am sure an ps3 can work despite haven't tried it. But (you have to look up how) you can turn your iphone 4 (which must have wireless internet access) into an wireless router, which other wi fi devices can connect to it. Then you can connect your ps3 to your iphones internet and synx your trophies.

Might give that a try with either yours or someone you know that has an iphone 4

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood has trophy issues. as far as I know which really sucks. I so far haven't experienced them.

I have an Android phone, but I can't do that due to really weak phone signal... I think I'm just not going to sync anything given that all the trophies I have earned can be got by replaying through the first few hours of the game

Your uni doesn't allow you to connect your trey?

Anyways, in my experience, trophies do not carry over when you move save files over. However, there is no danger of losing trophies if you start again on another PS3, when you finally get around to syncing the trophies on your first PS3, they just merge.

To connect, you have to have your computer security checked EVERY SINGLE DAY by downloading a programme, which I doubt would run on a PS3

And that does sound nice and re-assuring

We had to run a security app the first time we connected to the network, but that was it. The network also makes special exceptions for game consoles and mobile phones.

So one unscrupulous computer admin could turn every computer on the univerity network into a botnet? Nice single point of failure there.
