I haven't played DQ9, Red Dead (don't like westerns) or VC2... so corrrect... I was originally gonna say I haven't played any. But I rented Galaxy, Rented Heavy Rain, I played the Demo of Yakuza 3... if you can rate a demo as a whole game. then you are too high :P

You mean it's an unknown capacity that may or may not live up to peoples stratospheric hype predictions? I hope it does...

Also, new review (i.e. first in the WORLD) review in the new ONM! And I get it first, because I subscribe. I hope it's good! 

Hopefully, it'l also have the Epic Mickey review in (I'm doubtful it'l have the GT5 review in!)

I also get a nostalgia feeling about it, I hope (and expect) it to score over 90 on metacritic!

I hope it does too....TBH I am not as hyped as I was (the delays got to me in the end)....and GT games have never been GOTY for me in the year they release.....but they have always been within the top 5 and have always been amazing "experiences"....GT5 should be the same. 

Cool make a thread once you get your ONM telling us the scores DKCr and Epic Mickey got!!!!!

I think DKCr should get 90 plus...previews have been raving about it!! I wonder where Epic Mickey will end up

Have to say I still havea lot of games on my "yet to play" list, like SMG2, Mass Effect2 and Splinter Cell: Conviction. Epic Mickey and DKCR are also promising. I doubt the #1 will change though. It's been a very long time such an amazing horror game has been released. It's close to Silent Hill 2 and Resident Evil for me.

Why not? I'm probably the biggest REmake fan on this site and I'm not saying Alan Wake matches that, but it is the best horror game since RE4 for me. The story is gripping and weird, the sound effects and soundtrack is awesome and the lighting effects are the best in any game ever and play a huge part in the atmosphere.

Well, there havn't really been many GOOD horror games since Resi4 (certainly not Resi5)

I mean, there are al sorts of wrong with this list. Here are just a few;

1. Where on Earth is Galaxy 2 in the GOTY catergory, and even the Best Soundtrack catergory!

2. Why are the only Wii games on the list in the "best Wii game" catergory!

3. Why is BlOps in sooooooooo many catergoires? It's only been out 1 week!

4. WHERE ON EARTH IS MONSTER HUNTER TRI!

There's many, many more issues with this list. It's reasons like this why it's better to just ask people in this fashion as opposed to shortlisting. No bias that way!

1) Maybe the people who made the list does not consider it to be goty-material..?

2) SMG2 is at best action-adventure list, PGA11 on best individual sports game, FIFA/Madden on best team sports game, rock band 3 on best music game, Kirby's epic yarn on best graphics(?!).

3) Maybe it is a good game?

4) Where it belongs. ;P

 

2.) Which wii game you would want to be nominated in following categories? This should be interesting, since those are some of my favourite genres. :P
