Very nice to see the XBOX 360 number 1. as it deserves it for being the only console to play every game in 1080p, even if its upscaled, the ps3 plays alot of games in only up to 720p

a minor point lol

it still looks amazing on my t.v. every game

Oh god.  Not this again.  Run!

Having a consistent upscaling across any TV is nice though.

yes it is, and i dont think the 360 gets enough credit for it. reviews should always mention that if the 360 version runs 1080p and the ps3 can only do 720p it really should be a big deal and not let it just go over looked so they dont piss sony off

That's the thing, it's not a big deal in all honesty.  It is nice to have it be consistent across TVs (as opposed to TVs or receivers doing the upscaling, thus having results be different across different hardware) but the overall result is probably very, very minor and can (potentially) even be worse than particular TVs' upscalers.

So yeah, definetly not a small deal really and not even remotely close to a big deal; I believe you are blowing it out of proportion IMO.

i just love rubbing it in brother in laws face when he brings his ps3 over thats spose to be way better than my 360 and his games only play in 720p no matter what, and i have a brand new 55 inch 240 hz 1080p, then we play the 360 and it says 1080p- we tried everything to play the ga,es on his ps3 in 1080p and it still ran em in 720p,  made me smile

I think you're getting way too caught up in numbers and not actual picture quality (or you are letting the numbers affect your vision).  I'm not saying that 360 games can't and don't look better, some do but that is mainly due to the fact that the games was developed that way for whatever reason.

All other things considered equal if the 360 uses its built in upscaler to upscale the images vs. the ps3 letting your 1080p TV (or receiver or whatever device you have) do the upscaling, there may be a difference in visual quality but more than likely there won't be any noticable difference between the two.

You may get a kick out of it saying "1080p" vs "720p" when the TV displays the properties of the input signal but that data in and of itself doesn't mean one will have a better picture than the other and may be the opposite (depending on the implementation of the upscalers and source image).  Believe with your eyes not by reading the text.

This also means that for first NPDs...

100k > Bayonetta 360 > Madworld > 50k > Bayonetta PS3 > Vanquish PS360

Platinum really is the new Clover. ;)
