I actually just had to draw and label maps of games at school for the past few weeks.  We played several pinball games on the web, drew maps of the boards, and defined all the areas that are key to the gameplay.  Then we did that with new games like Modern Warfare and Halo 3, and now we're doing it to Doom and Quake.  And after playing and mapping all these games myself, I'd say that games like Halo 3 and Modern Warfare are closer to pinball games: narrow tunnel systems designed for shooting bullets or pinballs toward their targets.

I knew it was from Doom: Episode 1. Does that make me 1337?

Ewww twitch shooter on a console. I hope they are using  a mouse. Games like UT and Quake just don't work without a mouse. I bought Quake 4 with my 360 4 years ago and after 1 game I couldn't stand it. Tried to relive my Q3Arena PC days but did not work.

Yeah...you're right...but I loved Doom way before I loved GoldenEye or Halo...

I don't know if that is a bad thing or not. I have little interest in searching for something on a fps game. For me, that deducts from gameplay.
