I love the NBA.  Big Jazz fan.  I was surprised to see any interest in my Jazz.  I'm from Utah so with only the one professional team in any sport I'm a huge fan.  I like what OKC has going on even though they are in our division.  KD and Westbrook will only get better together.  Westbrook is already a top 5 PG in my opinion.  His length and athleticism makes him tough to gaurd.

To the Clippers fan, I love watching Blake Griffin.  I mean the guy is a man amongst men already in his young career.  He's freaky athletic and has decent touch on his shot.  He's a legit 20/10 guy already as a rookie.  You really have something special there.  I don't understand why they don't utilize him more in the offense and run sets for him.  They'd have probably beaten the Jazz if they had.

Did anyone else see the ending to the Heat - Jazz game?  That had to be the craziest ending to a game I've ever seen.  Glad Jazz came out on top, but that goes to prove that you've gotta have a little luck mixed in with good play to get the W sometimes.  Good thread btw.

Oh and just out of curiosity.  Are there many Jazz fans outside of Utah?  I've always been under the impression that the answer was no.  How do non-Jazz fans view them?

If Paul Millsap hitting three threes in the last 30 seconds is a 'little' luck I'd hate to see what happens when your boys get very lucky haha.

LOL!  No kidding right.  It's not that Millsap has a terrible stroke or anything but the guy had only attempted 20 in his career and many of those were last second heaves with low shot clocks or half court shots.  If anyone remembers, Wade beat the Jazz in heartbreaking fashion the last few years.  Karma?

About time !!!

Anyways I'm a big Blazers fan. Used to be a big Suns fan until they lost Amare. I would definetely be lieing if I said that I'm not a Miami fan. I am. A big one. People can hate on Lebron all they want but I see no problem with him teaming up with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. I truly believe they'll win a championship IF they get a proper C and PG.

They don't even really need a proper PG with Wade and Lebron on the team. If they had a knockdown 3pt shooting PG that plays solid defense it would be enough for them. They definitely need a true inside presence in the paint though because Joel Anthony and Big Z aren't going to get it done in the playoffs against the likes of Pau or Dwight.

They need a PG who can guard. I agree that either Wade or Lebron can play the point on the offensive end. And your spot on with the C ! They need one who can :

- Score in the post
- Change / block shots
- Run the floor
- Rebound

They need someone like Gasol. I'm questioning whether or not Miami should trade Bosh.

I can't see LeBron hitting those numbers, and I can't see him winning MVP if he does. The NBA voting committee are famous for getting bored with repeat winners, just look at Jordan getting shafted in the late 80s and early 90s.

I think LBJ could definitely average double digit assists, but I doubt he'll get more than 35 mins most nights and even then, he's definitely (whether he wants to or not) slotting into the Magic Johnson role. His rebounds are going to take a hit this season. I'll go with 22 points, 10-11 assists and 5 rebounds. Those are MVP numbers, but if the Thunder hit 55 wins then the media darling Durant will win it.

I agree.  They need a PG mostly on the defensive end.  Deron, Paul and Rondo all had their way with the Heat because they had nobody to slow them down.  Lebron and Wade while good defenders in their own right, aren't quick enough to keep good PGs out of the paint or they are forced to throw a high double team which essentially creates a 4 on 3 underneath.

No way LBJ or Wade would allow that. Bosh is overrated, I think that's accepted by everyone, but he's still a solid 20/10 on a normal team with a bit of confidence. I think a guy like Brook Lopez would be absolutely perfect for this Miami team, but unfortunately there aren't many of him going round and what do the Heat have to offer? They could possibly, at a stretch, target a guy like Robin Lopez or maybe even entice Portland to part with Greg Oden but he obviously has massive injury issues surrounding him. Any other mid-level centre you guys can think of?

I like Monta for scoring champ this year; he's certainly taken a step up in his production and the Warriors certainly weren't shy playing him for a lot of minutes last year (didn't he break the record for most 48 minute games played?). It remains to be seen whether Curry's progress will take some of Ellis' production down though.

And on another point, I think Wade or Lebron are more than capable of guarding the elite point guards in the league, Lebron is deceptively quick across the court but it's simply a case of, especially for Boston, of too many players to guard. It's the same thing that happened in the playoffs, KG caught fire because Jamison couldn't get near him, and it's the same situation with Bosh now. If LeBron or Wade switch over to guard Rondo, they'll always leave a man open because the rest of the team can't keep track of Pierce, Allen or Garnett.

My MIP player btw, Roy Hibbert. 15 PPG, 10 rebounds, 2.5 blocks.

None from the top of my head so far. The Heat getting Greg Oden doesn't sound far fetched to me. The Blazers
didn't offer him an extension. Robin Lopez might be on the trading block, but I suspect that they'll be wanting to get rid of Hedo and Lopez may be part of the package.  But if Pat Riley can complete the biggest FA signing ever then I think he can get a solid C with a good post game.

@Bladeneo

I'm big on Hibbert too. He's on 3 of my 5 fantasy basketball teams but the NBA is geared more toward guard stats right now. It's a big reason why I think Wall will probably get ROY over Griffin because assists are cooler than rebounds most of the time unless it's a putback dunk.
