As a side note, a lot of you seem confused by the lack of Snake/Nintendo characters. These are characters created in the last decade. No, that doesn't make the list less shitty, but it certainly shouldn't have any Nintendo characters because they haven't made any in the last decade (only a slight exaggeration).

There should be a generic Mii in the there.  That's the biggest character of this decade.

There was no year 0, so the last decade started in 2001. This makes Game Informer at least more competent than the 20 or so publications that did "game of the decade" awards last year like morons.
