Forums - Sony Discussion - Is My PS3 On It's Last Legs?

I've had my PS3 for a little over a year I don't play often usually, just for bluray movies. But when I plugged in the HDMI cable today to watch a movie the PS3 wouldn't recognize it(the tv wouldn't recognize the PS3 actually). I know it's not a problem with my tv or cable because they both work on my PC just fine.

Should I be worried? :(

Nah, PS3 Just does that some times. Just hold the power and eject until it Resets.

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

what was it plugged into before? some times when you hook it up to diffrent TV's. you have to reset the PS3 display settings. you do this by holding the power button down till you hear 2 beeps.

Unplugged it from my PC to my PS3. Same TV. And as I mentioned in my previous post I reset it twice.

the lack of excercise of your PS3 causes a decline in its health, you should have played it more often.

I was playing it loads before Sony took away OtherOS. Since then I lost all interest in it.

But that's getting off topic >.>

ah okay then. the overly rigorous excersice of your PS3 causes a decline in its health, you shouldn't have played it so much.

you have to push the power buton once then soon after push and hold it till you hear two beeps. not the power and eject button.

Did you make a whole thread to tell us you don't use your PS3?
