Aaron Greenberg sure likes to cause drama. He's the one who said they have sold over 45 million 360's.

I don't see the issue here.

MS says 45 Million sold to retailers (i.e. shipped) and VGC says 44.2 Million sold to consumers. ... yeah seems about right to me. Easily 800k to 1m on store shelves and in transit around the world.

He knew all along it wasn't almost gone so why would he be scared? I doubt he goes to Major Nelson for 360 HW figures!!

This could also mean SOLD to consumers TILL NOW

So another 500K were shipped in the month of October. Why is this news?

Major Nelson is a Manager at XBox Live.  His 42 million number probably was number of consoles connected to XBox Live (Given that all the other stats are Live related that makes sense).  Which would not include non-connected consoles nor shipping numbers.

Greenberg was simply responding to a question asked by a reporter...  Had nothing to do with being scared.

Like always they are talking about shipping numbers.....so Vgchartz numbers are probably quite accurate.
