The x-box and the 360 simply had/has no appeal as a product in Japan no matter the software and peripherals. There have been some really, really good JRPG's on the 360 this gen but none of it has helped, Kinect will not remedy that. Microsoft would be wise to focus their attention on the West where they are doing great and will continue doing great for quite some time.

It could mean a small boost, but overall i don't see them adopting the Xbox 360 at a much higher rate than it is now after a couple months when the hype dies down. Even with all the improvements and exclusives, they just aren't biting...ah well.

well amazon japan has listed kinect at number 42 of 100 so it has intrest in japan and i think it will take off over their

@epicberserk FYI, The new X360 S was released at the same week with a Monster Hunter Online game that came with 12 Month Gold Membership and that all together failed to outsell the PS3 and Wii back then. And if you don't know how big Monster Hunter is in Japan, I seriously don't know why you ask about things in Japan and the X360. Now you look at how abysmal the X360 numbers are from Japan each week.

And can you be clear with what you mean by 'big' for the X360 in Japan? Big what? You're not expecting it to outsell the PS3 or the Wii are you?

And right now GT5 has more a chance of releasing in December worldwide than late November considering how there's a proper GT5 bundle in Japan, it will only diminish the interest for X360 in December 2010.

If KINECT does extremely well in Japan then we might even see 20k sales for those 2 months!!

The meltdowns would be incredible!

yes i know even tho monster hunter online was a console port of the pc version of three years old it still sold quite well it was like 17000 360 slim sold for that week and it was constant for like 3 weeks so your info is misleading ... i have had a 360 and ps3 and u r a sony fan boy geez

First off how is my info misleading when it's in fact true that it didn't outsell the PS3 or Wii during those weeks? All I've said was the facts.
