GoldenEye 007, the Wii-imagining of the classic N64 FPS based on the James Bond movie of the same name, will be one of the year's biggest sellers on Wii, Activision has claimed.

"Our expectations are that GoldenEye 007 will be one of the best-selling games for the year on the Wii," David Tyler, general manager for the firm's Licensed Business Unit told MCV.

Such a claim will see the game having to rival the likes of Just Dance (1 and 2), Super Mario Galaxy 2, New Super Mario Bros. and Wii Party.

GoldenEye 007 will be released for Wii on November 2, 2010.

I actually want this game....a lot.

I played the original last month and it once again made me realize how awesome it truly was. AS long as this does not butcher the formula, and truly is fun in multiplayer, and Gamecube compatible, it's all mine.

As for Activision....they want it to be one of the top-selling Wii games of 2010. If my assumptions are correct, they at least want something in the Top 15. At #15 right now is Metroid: Other M (509,884).

I think they want 750k...immediately.

after my limited playtime with the game I enjoyed it. its not going to turn the FPS genre on its ear but it was good nonetheless, i look forward to this, will be the 1st Wii game I buy for Wii in a  whillllllle. I also like mr. Craig, Casino Royale best Bond movie ever I think

Lol. There's a typo in the OP, the game releases THIS year, as in, 2010.

I wonder what they class as "one of"

At least 15 games will top 1 million by the end of the year, and 10 of those could all approach 3 million ...
