Forums - Gaming Discussion - Kaos targeting COD

Not the fanbase but the game it self and reading there News posts on there website for Homefront there is alot in there that makes fun of COD and its game play and how kaos game is doing it better (i dam hope so).

here is one passage that makes fun on COD's killstreaks

There’s no “I” in Team, only “me” & fortunately in Homefront, if you complete “me” behaviors to earn Battle Points, chances are you’re helping the team win. Capping objectives, saving teammates, blowing up vehicles, & defending objectives, they all promote teamplay and lead to checkmarks in the all-important Win column. No more “I guy” hiding in a corner, waiting for a killstreak to surface while giving the big middle finger to the fellas going after objectives. Kiss that notion goodbye, but that’s not all.

i see what you are doing there Kaos, hopefully homefront can deliver. But i wish they instead of having the whole "Korea" thing and have it as an unknown enemy, but the multiplayer looks solid and its launching in an period jam packed with KZ3, possibility S4  and about 50 other games i want.

I like the idea of South Korea fighting North Korea and instead of fighting each other, the just play StarCraft matches and whoever wins gets the other country.

i find the whole back story completely stupid, if it was China sure that would make sense but the fact some poor nation that is Russia's and China's bitch wouldn't do anything.

Kaos?

What is that?

Haha its funny because they're right! Killstreaks are cool but they totally promote camping.

If I made a FPS game I'd have it so if you stand still for more than 3 seconds you start to lose health and eventually die, unless you're sniping or already waiting for your health to recover.

Its cool how they're trying to promote actually playing the objective and helping the team. I hate assholes who camp in domination and don't capture or defend flags but instead go for kills.

What Kaos has to do with this?

Above: still the best game of the year.

"Camping" is a sound military strategy.  In reality, holding key strategic points is key to winning a battle.  To hold these points, you camp.  If you want to be able to also control the battlefield, you suppress and eliminate opponents from key spots also.  Sniping is a key part to.  You want to kill an enemy before you find you, from places they can't find you.  Those who don't like this should play a game like Serious Sam single player (aka, Smash TV in 3D).  If camping is too much of an issue, then the map wasn't designed right, or the weapons aren't balanced.

I am sorry, running around like a headless chicken, relying on hand-eye coordination is NOT strategy.  Ok, you can adopt it as a strategy, but it isn't a sound one.

For those who don't like this, I give you a strategy guide to not being seen:

yes camping is a legimate tactic, but its dam BORING, its an game and people want to have fun, that includes running guns blazing, attaching C4 to the tail of the helicopter and charging directly into the objective to destroy it.

Kaos is trying to speed up the game and hoperly they pull it off.
