it sounds like i should save my two bottle caps, that is a short playthrough to a supposed RPG at full price!!

you could beat fallout 3 or oblivion in 12-20 hours.... Hell I beat FFX in 23 hours. those games theres tons and tons of sidequests and other thigns to do. Hell I can beat  All that benefit the atmosphere of the game.

Believe me, this is the kind of game you could end up playing for 80-100 hours.

@guys ok fair enough that is good to know it has plenty of sidequests like the first one, guess i will have to wait for the bugs t be fixed then, after that it will deserve my two bottle caps

Honesty, It is the kind of game you SHOULD end up playing for 80-100 hours... If you have that much free time.

*I can't confirm that competley as I'm waiting for them to release patches, as I'll probably only play this once, and I'm playing FFIX and FFX again so I can wait for prices to drop!

But from what I've heard. I'd be shocked if it didn't though. And I'm sure it would have gotten hammered for that as well as the bugs

for those who got it on PC http://www.ripten.com/2010/10/24/five-essential-pc-mods-for-fallout-new-vegas/

@TheVoxelman on twitter

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

I still haven't finished Fallout 3. I have over 160 hours, and I haven't finished the main quest and the only DLC I finished was Anchorage. There is just so much shit to do that a few bugs really won't bring a game like this down. I could have finished in about 20-30 hours, but you don't get to do much of anything if you just rush through the main quest.

I will be picking up NV after I finish Fallout 3 (hopefully soon).

I'll be bookmarking this for when I get the game :P

How do these mods work with the Steam version? I can't remember ever modding a Bethesda game on Steam.

okay I was defending New Vegas for a long time, but the more I play the more serious are the bugs.

and btw. I played the unpatched 360 version of Fallout 3 (around 50 hours) without one serious bug, so yeah New Vegas has a few more problems than Bethesda's entry.

I'm around 30 hours in and there are 2 quests I cannot complete because they're buggy and another 2 quests where I needed to search for alternative paths to finish them (also because of bugs).
I also noticed some serious slowdowns in the last 2 hours I played (I hope that was just a cache problem or so).

Had no crashes yet though.

It bugs me (no pun intended) that gamers these theys are willing to embrace with open arms really short games or clearly unfinished games and pay the full price but then dink really good games for less.

Well I don't buy games when they're buggy from the beginning. I expect  game to have very few bugs from the get go. I could careless about patching a game as I barely patched (or never patched) any of my games years ago. I expect games to be great from the beginning. Lazy damn devs...

This is a hypothetical

Well say what happens if. The game is more fun with the inconvenience of bugs included. Than a game without bugs. Would you get the game without bugs based on principal?  Especially if they patched the game so it was clearly better than other games you may have already boughten?

My point is that we are now in the year 2010. I expect less bugs from games in general (especially for big games). It's really hard for a game I buy now to be better than something that I have purchased years ago since I always have that "been there, done that" feeling which really wrecks the experience of the game for me. If I was born in 1998 then I wouldn't any of these "buggy" games really because I wouldn't have experienced the magic of the past.

Oh and for the record, I'm very harsh on games =_=Maybe except for some that I have on my list of games.
