Forums - Nintendo Discussion - IGN: No hype for ZELDA :(

I played it, Wii Sports controls detract from Zelda much much more than they add, it feels gimmicky especially in things like using the bow, Zelda TP pointer controls are much easier to use and smoother/more practical.  I can already tell this game wil be a rental only if anything for me and I used to be such a massive Zelda fan.

I remember when I looked at the trailer/show that the bow controls didn't look that good. But didn't they say that the IR pointer controls from TP are also going to be there? They just wanted to show the MotionPlus gameplay at E3.

I am extremely hyped. I've waited 4 years for this game.. BUT I do mostly agree with this article except for the negative point 5. The thrill will NEVER be gone.

i've waited the whole generation for this game, for the definitive wii zelda title! its like the GT5 of the wii. and it seems like this game will be the last great nintendo title on the wii.

can't wait (:

I've been hyped up ever since miyamoto said the original zelda team was back together.

I don't think I've been really interested in Zelda since the SNES era, its more nostalgia that kept me going all these years

I don't think hype died, I just think people were expecting an info blowout at E3 which they didn't get.  But obviously the Zelda faithful, such as myself, have still been drooling over just the name since E3 haha.

Zelda is one of those games where, although you might not be anxious about it, in the end you know you are going to get because: 1 - it`s Zelda; 2 - and being Zelda you KNOW it will be a great game!

There is no hype...because we haven't received new information in 5 months.

We still do not have a release date. Hard to get excited about something you still know nothing about besides a few items and Link's bitchin' running animation.

you make a good point sir. lol
