Forums - Nintendo Discussion - IGN: No hype for ZELDA :(

I was underwhelmed because... well it looks kind of ugly. I mean, I prefer Majora's Mask visuals over Skyward Sword so far. That's pretty bad...

Why is there no worry over the lack of hype for Kid Icarus? Or the Ocarina Remake? Or the new Paper Mario?

Why is just this game required to be hyped up with no info?

Because...

Nintendo want to surpass Ocarina of Time every time they release a new Zelda game (for homeconsole). Ocarina of Time is one of the best games ever made. So, if the new game is better than Ocarina of Time = EPIC WIN. :D

Actually i can't recall it.

Link?

Yeah. Youtube it. It's bad.

Hmm... I don't see anything too disturbing

Actually looking up those youtube vids has me hyped now :/

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I love Zelda... but Skyward potentially looks like the beginning of the end for the Zelda series...... the E3 "trailer" made it look like the setting was in teletuby land.... it kinda looked "kiddy".. and the motion controls that I now must? use? That pissed me off.

Did they ruin Zelda for me? It looks like it... this might be the only console Zelda game I'll not own. (sigh) Nintendo I resent you more as time passes by.

All gaming systems, consoles/PC, have thier perks... why fight over preferences? I like Coke and you like Pepsi, that's it, let's not fight over which toy we like best cause that's what they are. Is someone's preference in a toy important or is the relationship between you and your neighbor more important? Answer is obvious, but THE most important thing is your relationship with God almighty. God Bless you in Jesus's name.

I can communicate without talking... I can send a loved one money without actually sending money... and I can commit theft without the product disappearing, the point of theft is the point of theft not one of it's possible symptoms which is the product dissappearing. The thief wants to gain something without paying for it, that's the point of theft, the thief doesn't have to care or anybody else has to care if the product dissappears. The product dissappearing is just a possible symptom of theft. Gifts are sacrfices, in order to give a gift, it has to be a genuine sacrfice/gift, meaning a copy of the game isn't still in your PC. Piracy is theft and/or being a culprit of theft.

To be honest.. I am still waiting for a Zelda game that fulfills the promise of this trailer

and Twilight Princess , although a great game, did not.

I'm not hyped because I don't have the money for it lol

I really don't understand why people criticize this game's graphics. The game itself looks tedious and awful, but the graphics are great.

No they aren't. The intended Art Style is great, but the graphics of the area shown aren't that good to be honest.

A part of the reason why it has a lower amount of hype than past Zelda titles because there's much more to look forward to than there were with almost all of the other Zelda games. The 3DS, for example, is by far the largest launch of a handheld videogame system ever; even at the unveiling of Skyward Sword, it was eclipsed by that.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Well, I wouldn't call it disturbing, either, but it's definitely a far cry from looking natural and fluid. Which is somewhat odd, because all other animations I've seen look great.

On a side note, the lighting in the game's fantastic.

The reason there is no hype for the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword has nothing to do with the game. It's because something at that E3 conference stole its thunder,That thing is the 3DS. There has been so much talk and games being revealed that titles like Skyword Sword has fallen to the wayside. Just this past week Level 5 revealed Phoenix Wright vs Professor Layton which hyped up gamers. However, the closer we get to a release date for Skyword Sword, gamers will get hyped.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba
