It's getting a Panzer Dragoon, that's all I need to know.

Anyways, I'll probably keep my Kinect in unopened condition because I have a hunch that it will be a nice rare collectible like the 32X someday.

Not gonna happen. 32X sold less than 700K worldwide, even the most pessimistic expectations for Kinect are much higher than that.

hmmm that could prove problematic.

Maybe it will be like Shaq Fu, where people will make an entire organization devoted to its destruction, and I will be one of the few with foresight who doesn't destroy mine, so the number of working ones will still be like 700k :D

I LOVE ICELAND!

I'm getting Dance Central, Your Shape Fitness Evolved, joy Ride and Kinect Sports. But I'm not too sure about the other ones. I know that Kinectimals will appeal to a younger crowd, but it's all good, it isn't for me. I'm so excited though. And lets not forget Steel Battalion next year haha.

Look at that list!!!!!

Its got fail written all over it, and why wouldn't they first make a balance of more hardcore titles such as a rip off of Time Crisis. instead kinect is launching with Zumba Fitness. Now all these titles are aimed at the causal market. Now the section of the causal game market these games tailor to are Mothers or kids (mostly girls) as you are not going to see an 8-30 year old male playing Dance masters when they can play call of duty instead.

But another Disclaimer on the Kinect is that majority of the Causal market Kinect is aimed at already have an Wii and an array of family favourite Nintendo games to draw in all types of gamers.

Whats an other problem with these games they are either related to the Wii or they are familiar to the eye toy. There rarely a thing orginal there.

My recommendation is to save your money and wait yes Wait until there are better games, that gives you an back up if it bombs and no more games are being made for it or that any good games come out for it.

edit:

The NY Post reports Microsoft is set to spend $500 million dollars in marketing Kinect, the Xbox 360 controller-free camera, this holiday.

"Kinect is the largest, most integrated marketing initiative in Xbox history, bigger than its launch," said Robert Matthews, general manager of global marketing communications for Xbox. "We are going to be spending millions to launch this globally

http://au.xbox360.ign.com/articles/112/1128566p1.html

I wouldn't rest 500,000,000 on those titles, i dont know MS really risky

disclaimer: while i do have an PSN symbol below i do have an xbox and was considering buying the Kinect. Also i dont play XBL because it isn't free and hence no gamer card. again no PS3 fanboy here.

You do realize that there are at least 2 system movers/AAA games there and possibly 3 or 4.  your shape and dance central are going to do gang busters.  Uncaged looks interesting as do Kinect sports and adventures.  I don't like cart games but Joy ride seems like a big addition to that genre and kinetimals looks with an awesome pet game for the under 12 set.

So that is 7 of the games that look good for what they are.  That is impressive for a launch with short dev time.  of course there is plenty of crap, but there is plenty of crap already.

You don't have to explain yourself, I prefer the 360 by far and I think those games look mediocre. Every last one of them. I wouldn't even consider buying Kinnect, if I got it as a gift I would try to sell it.

Edit: you should set up a Silver account, you can still track achievements and things like that.

I'll be using Kinect, at least until further notice, for Dance games and horror games. Hope for a Penumbra port. But theres no way I'm buying this thing at launch, or probably even any time close to launch.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Nov 2016 - NES outsells PS1 (JP)

Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!

What makes you think it has fail written all over it?  All because the release titles do not interests you, it is by no means fail.  Although none of those games interest me, I am fairly certain there are quite a few of those that will sell very well.  I guess we will all see how it goes in a few weeks.

Funny, I think the list is pretty impressive and has more titles I want than Move which is why my money is going on Kinect this xmas.  I'll leave this thread now the usual haters have started rolling in and no doubt will get away with murder as usual.

Altrough Microsoft would have to pay me to play those titles I think there's at least a few positions among them than can lure non-gamers into buying kinect.
