Sonic 4 Wii vs 360 side to side graphics comparison

I decided to do a side to side comparison between Wii and 360 graphics versions of Sonic 4 Episode 1. Now, before you think this is going to be a cakewalk for the 360, there is a catch.

The Wii version is runnin on my PC, using the dolphin emulator. Its running upscaled in 1080p with AA and everything maxed out.

They are running on 2 exact same monitors with exact same prestets. I know that the proper way to do this is to use a capture card for the 360, but I'm too lazy...

So lets get this started.

Title Screen:

Splash Hill Zone:

Lost Labyrinth Zone:

Mad Gear Zone:

Well lets hear it,  what do you think folks? :)

I could barely tell the difference there.

o.O I totally thought the left one was the 360.  I are shame.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I guessed right but it wasn't easy, lol!

If you look close enough, top left corner has a emulator frame counter on the left. I left that just in case people were saying i was making things up and that both were 360 :)

I think its awesome that Wii pretty much has the same game as ps360 once resolution is leveled.

Wow I have to say after close inspection, the Wii version looks better then the 360 version. Theirs more shading on Sonic in the Wii version. I thought because Sonic looked better in the Wii version that it must be 360. Man too bad I'm not buying this game.

Why don't we toss those up on a 46" screen and we'll see which fares better...

Just waiting for that PS Vita to come out so I can play some full featured games on the go with that beautiful screen and control scheme...

Oh wait, you're running it on an emulator, not on an actual wii, lol

After looking at both extensively, I'd have to say that 360 still edges out the Wii version even after the PC visial boost. It looks a little better in motion and has better contrast. Also the Wii version backgorunds appears slightly out of focuse when kicking everything up to 1080p. However the models and other polygon based stuff looks cleaner on the wii than on the 360.
Another element which is not as good on the Wii side is music quality, but I suspect they did that to fit the game within Wiiware size limits. (45 megs vs 200 megs on the 360)

I do think that the fact that both games are comparable is quite cool. All I can say is that once Wii 2 comes out, and it has backwards compatibility as well as 1080p visuals, a lot of original Wii games will look really great in HD.

Yes, reading OP fully before going on the offencive is advised. I went ahead and bolded and underlined that part just so people don't miss it.

BTW 1080p video and images don't look any better on a 46 inch than they do on a 24 inch montor...They would looks worse actually since the same amount of pixels has to fill a much larger area.
